Brisket was very tender, you can order it with the bark on ? sweet tea. Good service, what more can you want? Mac and cheese was not the best but that's only complaint. Baked beans were delish! Give em a try if you're craving bbq!
I got the pulled pork and it was less than average. They put something in it and had no bark?? Coleslaw and chili was less than average as well. However, the staff was nice and the atmosphere was pretty cool. I like to support the little guy but doubt I'd return. If they can't nail pulled pork I doubt the ribs or brisket are any better. I know it's in a college town but the prices are pretty expensive for what you get!
I've been here a number of times over the years and I just can't wrap my head around it. They obviously pride themselves in their meat production, because it's delicious. What I don't understand is why everything else is so haphazard and given little thought. We came in for "dinner" at about 6pm on Saturday. No one in the place. They were out of a couple items so we ordered 8 oz Brisket, 2 sides and a drink. Tiny plastic sides dishes, hand written...
