I Mean the steak tortas are at a 8.5 on my list, I love their food and they never failed, A must goo!. The beat in town. Today I ordered a Steal burrito and was a bit disappointed with it, who the heck puts cilantro in it, the flavors were off, something made it sweet, anyways check it out.
Had lunch at Taco Rico today and it was SOOOO good! It reminded me of the authentic tasting Mexican food I used to be able to find in Denver. Best carnitas I've had in 7 years! I had a carne asada flauta, carne asada taco, and a carnitas sope, with beans and rice on the side. My friend had a carnitas chimichanga and it was the best chimi either of us had ever had! The quality and the portion size is on point! Worth every penny and I will be back again!

The SOPES are hands down the best in town!! My husband loves the burritos. Everything is fresh and the waitresses are always friendly and helpful!

The food was below average in flavor but average on texture. The red rice and beans lacked that garlic flavor often mixed in those dishes. I orginially ordered a flauta de tripa but instead got a really bland and mushy taco de tripa. The gordita de camaron and taco de lengua were ok. Salsas are basically spiciness without the chile flavor.Disappointed that the waitstaff didn't include chips in my order. Also, a waitstaff was coughing way too much to be working. You could visibly hear the sickness in her voice. They need to send visibly sick workers home.

I love Taco Rico - especially for weekend Mexican options. The food is always good and the service is decent. They seem super busy around lunchtime and dinner but that's a great sign of great food! Usually order take out more often than not but it's a nice place to dine in, too. Pretty sure it's family friendly!
Tried the asada, carnitas, and pollo tacos. Good flavor but a little dry. Rice and beans were very good. Also, I got chicken flautas, not exactly what I was hoping for as they were more of taquitos. The flavor was good on everything, and the service was great.

We had a fantastic meal here, it was truly delicious and really the best authentic Mexican food you can get in Lafayette. Their hot sauces are out of this world. Pro tip--you can buy them by the bottle! Highly recommend both the green and red sauces. The tacos are great, as is the salsa, the burritos are great portions and so delicious. Really every dish we've tried has been so good, no complaints as far as food goes. Usually the service is pretty great as well, but the last two or three times we went there, we had awful service. Our server was rude from the very start, and sat playing with her phone pretty much the whole time. She had to be prompted to take our orders, to run our food to us, and eventually another employee just closed out the check for her because it was quite obvious she had no interest in doing her job. It was really disappointing, as was the check, the prices had increased quite a bit at some point recently, and really, the value wasn't there. I mean, we were charged almost $60 for chips and salsa, a burrito, a torta combo, and two drinks (we were charged for a new drink each time it was refilled, which wouldn't bother me if I had asked for a refill and that price was clearly expressed on the menu.) I really do like the food, but the prices were far beyond the actual value of the food, experience, and horrible server.Vegetarian options: Use caution if you are strictly opposed to consuming animal by products. Lard is used in many of the more typically vegetarian friendly dishes like the beans and tortillas, and items are prepared on the same surfaces and appliances alongside meat items. You'd not be the first person to find an actual sizable strip of beef or chicken in your vegetarian fajitas or in your burrito. Proceed with caution.

The place was busy, but we got seated right away. At least half the clientele was Hispanic which is a great sign if you are looking for authentic food. The food did not disappoint. It was excellent! The service was also great. Very friendly and attentive.Authentic tacos on the menu with all the popular options for meat. You can also get all of the meat options in burritos, tortas, flautas, etc.Lots of other popular dishes on the menu as well. Great destination if you like real Mexican food.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide aisles between rows of tables. Would be easy to navigate.
