Went there today for the first time. Sign on door says open daily 11 am until 8 pm. Door was locked. Open sign was not turned on. I've been wanting to try this local establishment. Lake Station can and should be a hidden regional gem. There are more than enough Mexican establishments. They need a variety of cuisine and Johnsons could fill that void. You can't advertise certain hours and decide not to open without telling the public why you decided NOT to open. This place can and should be a regional culinary icon as it was in the past.

As far as atmosphere this is a takeout fish establishment so that really cannot be critiqued. That said it’s a Friday during lent things were a little crazy, chaotic and backed up..However, the politeness of the employees and absolute phenomenal taste of the lake perch and lightly breaded shrimp were well worth the wait!!!!

For $27.99 we got two pieces of fish,seven shrimp and about ten fries a piece... highway robbery!! The lemon cake was delicious although this was our first time it'll probably be our last..?
The service was fantastic! The young man working behind the counter noticed that my husband was wearing his Marine Veterans cap and gave us a discount. We didn't even know that was offered and we thanked him for it.
Opened my box and the looked at my meal and the breading wasn't even cooked all the way threw....ther was still batter on my shrimp....so I found 1 out of them that looked cooked and I bit into it and a lot of water came shooting out....the shrimp was so small....the smell was bad....do better man ur carrying a name of Johnsons and u food is bad
