Ruben was the best food ever ! Since the new owner took over the food went down hill not a fan of arnies new food .. and they jacked the price up The staff was reall nice and fast ! The store needs more decor ! The food was hot and fresh

This used to be Rubin's. It had good food at good prices. Now it is an Arnie's franchise with Arnie's logos on everything inside the restaurant. The only thing saying Ruben's is the sign on the building. Half the items on the menu that made this place unique are gone, and the prices have gone up 30-40 percent. If you are trying to keep the nostalgia, you ripped it out when you changed the menu and got rid of the man with the balloons out front.

So I’m leaving this review on behalf of the NEW OWNERS of Rubens. They have done nothing but sabotage this NWI Staple turning it into Arnie’s. Rubens has been around for longer than I can remember and has always been a home to Lake Station. First of all removing the cable TV to watch game shows was just completely unnecessary. Having game shows to watch was key enjoyment of eating here. On top of the food being great at a great price. The employees have all been very nice and helpful no matter what. Now they took down the monumental Hobo Statue? TERRIBLE. And to the new owners of RUBENS, I hope you see what you’re doing. This is not a bad review on Rubens, this is a bad review on Arnies.
Service was great, the lady taken our order was kind and friendly. Fries were great and the flavor of the hot dogs was awesome. But they were the skinniest dogs ever.there was more bun than anything.

I am currently sitting inside the restaurant enjoying a patty melt and fried pickles and let me say OH MY GOD! This food is melt in your mouth amazing. It makes you do that happy food dance, if ya know what I mean. Will definitely be returning
