Rooms are trash, they have mice and roaches. I know some one that's caught over 300 different mice in one room. And counting. For the $250 a week they could at least exterminate. Service at the bar is always good though - when they have what u order.

Central hotel is no longer a hotel. Instead, it is a bar. Very rustic, a step back in time. One of Madison, IN downtown highlights and nightclubs. It is one of the main hotshots in Madison.

I didn't stay at the hotel only visited someome living there. When i would visit my friend,within 5 minutes of being there i seen roaches crawling up the walls. I never went to the bar but im sure it was roach infested as well.It's more like cheap Apts for people who can't afford a place to live in Madison.Rent is cheap. It has a noisy bar below the apts. The outside painted murials were really cool along with the tourists attractions.

Used to be a nice place to go. Some female working the door checking everyone's IDs ruined it for me. Very rude and will never return there.
Prices were a little high for adult beverages. Prices were good. Maybe it has changed hands ?

I’d just like to share what a joke their mixed drinks are anymore. Central used to be my favorite place to get a Long Island iced tea. The last one I got was a $10 solo cup of ice cubes, with a shot in the bottom of it. The bartender even went on to tell me about how “other bartenders don’t know how to make them the right way.” ? After that disappointment, I went to the Lighthouse and bought a real mixed drink. It costs less too.
