This little restaurant is a gem in the downtown area of Madison, Indiana. It's been in business since 1933. One of the unique things that caught our eye was 40 some different flavors of milk shakes.

Small town down home atmosphere at this nice little cafe. One side is where you can sit at the bar and watch the cooks making this great food, and the other side is a dining area. Everyone was very friendly and nice. The food is cooked to order and the old fashioned way! Good good good!
Parking: Side street parking is close. Sometimes you might get lucky with parking out front. Walking around is really a joy in this downtown area.

VERY OVER PRICED, A child of 4 could eat the double Cheeseburger for 3.75 and the fries are sold separately at 2.99 and DONT get the milkshakes for 3.49 . The blueberry is just blue vanilla ice cream no Blueberry what so ever....
So many different things around Madison, and Hinkles is the main reason we go. We plan our whole trip around when we're gonna be stopping there for a great, cheap, bite to eat.
