This restaurant closed at the end of April, 2021. The Facebook page says it might reopen in the future, but it appears unlikely given the fact those with reservations, etc. were never contacted, the closure was abrupt and it has been shut for a month.

It abruptly closed at the end of April. Since I found the food and service mediocre, I have not eaten there recently. But many are disappointed it closed without notice.

This is a fantastic establishment to visit. Nice old-school look on the inside, the food taste fantastic, and it’s the only restaurant of its type in the area. It doesn’t appear to be too far away if you are hiking near Clifty Falls.I look forward to coming back to this restaurant again in the future.

Quality was poor. Chowder did not have fresh shrimp. Ordered the seafood platter same complaint, shrimp and scallops were old. Service was great, friendly! Have been there over the years and liked the food. Would not recommend after this visit.

The quality of the food was not worth the price. I ordered a steak and shrimp combo with shrimp scampi. The steak was seasoned pretty well, but the shrimp was covered in cheese when it was baked which created a pool of grease in the bowl my scampi was in. I also ordered a twice baked potato which had hardly any flavor. The soup was nice, but it was in such a tiny bowl so I barely got any of it. The waiters were really nice, but the food just did not match the amount we paid.

Jenni was our server who was very attentive to our needs. Social precautions were made to visit salad bar. Mahi Mahi was a big chunk of meat. Seafood Norfolk was good. Witnessed many take-away orders. Clean restaurant.

Cold dinner...my guest all had hot food I had to send back. Soup cold but I did not want to wait to get that reheated. No ALCOHOL license ,out with friends we have not seen in years dye to covid-19..coke really... Could have dealt with it if my food did not suck..$25.00 really.....

Panama shrimp, french fried shrimp, and seafood norfolk. All 3 were delicious! Sometimes it's difficult to find good seafood when you're not on the coast, but.... Found it! The service was top notch (Thanks Dorothy!) as well. Definitely a great place to try if your heading to the falls!
We liked the food here on out visit. I had the baked Icelandic cod which was served in cheese and Hollandaise sauce and it was good. The wife enjoyed her fried shrimp. We both had the salad bar, which we used plastic gloves due to Covid, and we liked. The only downfall was the bread, which was pretty much overcooked toast, but we liked the hushpuppies which had a sweet flavor to them. Nice seafood place along the river.

Ordered the halibut...was pretty bland. Hubby got the fried shrimp and loved it. Everything tasted as though it had been around. Came with soul and salad bar. Server and hostess were top notch. They made us feel at home.

If you're in Madison IN and you don't stop nd eat here you're missing out. All our food was as good as it gets and the service was excellent. The owner even stopped at our table to check on us. Beautiful view of the river as well. I'll be back for sure!!!

First time here and gotta say my wife and I were amazed by the food, the warm inviting atmosphere, and service. You can feel the history of the place alone, then the food comes out. I've never had better fried shrimp or seafood chowder. My wife had fried tilapia and it was albsolutely to do for. We're already making plans on going back and taking family!!
