They have the best fries I’ve ever had. I had the sausage and sauerkraut and it was great. My husband had the fish basket and fries. Amazing.

Was in town for a music festival, only restaurant we stopped at that had friendly, welcoming staff. The food was great and seasoned well. I had country fried steak, absolutely delicious. Fried pickles were amazing. The batter was great. I’ll stop again next time we’re in town. 🖤

Owner brags about his cooking. It was terrible. We ordered seafood gumbo and they gave us some kind of corn chowder. It had shrimp in it that was so chewy do to being over cooked. The only flavor it had was too spicy hot. For a bowl and a cup of it plus 1 beer 1 tea it was $50

Everything about this place besides the building itself was garbage. Our service was terrible, server rushed through our order didn't even give time to request customizations on sandwiches, only checked on us once the whole time, and then we waited an hour for food with only 4 other tables in there, and my chicken alfredo was bland trash that tasted like it was from a cheap tin can. To top it off, I never left a tip because of the service, my order was $20.31 on my card, but I wake up to my charge increasing to a nice round $25 and there's no service charge meaning my server gave himself an unauthorized tip which I'm going to dispute today. WORST spot in all of Madison, avoid it at all costs.

Walking in, they warned us that it would be a 30-40 min wait on food and that was pretty accurate. Guessing they were understaffed. Party of 5, waiter didn't write down our order and had to come back to confirm one. He did check on us often and about as we needed refills. Asked a second time to confirm my soup. Soup came out wrong BUT he made it right by comping it since it cause us to wait even longer (everyone else got their food). He did offer to let me keep the wrong soup (gumbo) but I don't like spicy and declined. I nibbled on the fries while waiting on the remake. Food overall was good, sent us out with drinks to-go. However 3 of the 5 of us had to visit bathrooms pretty quick (30 mins) after eating as it went straight thru us (if you catch my drift).
