The historic Samuel Plato house is nicely restored and efforts are being made to keep it in good condition. Work was ongoing to repair the columns on the front facade. The restaurant has several dining rooms that offer intimate, small group or public dining. The atmosphere is pleasant and conversation is easily heard. Today I had a good lunch at the Hostess House. The service was quick. The food was good. I love the aesthetically vintage look of the Hostess House. It’s a historical building in Marion built in the early 1900’s by an African American architect named Samuel Plato. I’ll definitely be back!
