Local Star Wars themed dine in or carry out bbq. Didn’t realize it was Star Wars themed until I saw a pic of a ship from the movie. Character replicas are decked out in holiday gear. Fun! Trekkies who ❤️ bbq are def welcome here.

Food: Wanted to try everything but decided on 3 meat platter with help from Maleah because I couldn’t decide. Grubbed on the Wings, tips, sausage, mac n cheese, greens and baked beans. All was perfection. Sweet tea was more sweet than I prefer but just add water to tone it down. Tips had a kind of wet-dry rub thing going on that made my mouth happy. Mixed the baked beans with the greens and 🔥 In house mac n cheese satisfies and does not disappoint.
✅Overall: Obi’s BbQ is a gem in Marion from atmosphere, to service to food. You and yours will be glad you stopped by. Even if you’re a Trekkie😊

A Star Wars themed BBQ restaurant? Yes! I was just passing through looking for a place to grab some some lunch. I was between Obi's and another restaurant. I saw the stormtrooper in the window and my decision was made. I ordered a half order of nachos and a sausage. The nachos has a little taste of everything and everything tastes great. The sausage was very moist and flavorful. The half size nachos is still large enough to be shared with a couple of people. The array of BBQ was impressive. I enjoyed all that I tried. I will definitely stop back in when I am in the area.

We loved this place..from the atmosphere, wonderful smell (as soon as we walked in) to the friendly and helpful waitress. The owner came to our table after we finished of our meal and spoke with us. He was genuine, friendly and seemed truly interested about our experience. Not to mention, the food was amazing! If we go thru Marion again, we know where to eat 😊

Omg... If I could give 10 Stars I would!! Best BBQ joint in northern Indiana!!! Stumbled across this little gem and I have to say I'm blown away! Definitely get the meat candy appetizer!!! I'm a huge star wars fan so the theme of the restaurant was a plus, but the food took 1st place in my book!! I will definitely be coming back and next time with friends and family! Staff was amazing as well!
I stopped by OBI’s BBQ in Hartford City today after a friend invited me, and honestly, I had no idea this place even existed. It’s tucked right there by the Blackford County courthouse, and I’m really glad we tried it.
I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, and it was outstanding. The turkey slices were thick and full of flavor, the tomatoes were super fresh, and I enjoyed every single bite. I had originally planned to share a little with my friend, but… nope. Didn’t happen.
I also got a side salad with French dressing, which was simple but really well put together. We’d heard great things about their waffle fries and coleslaw, but they were sold out when we first arrived (around 3 p.m.). A little later, the staff made up a fresh batch of coleslaw and surprised us with a free sample. Totally worth the wait — really tasty.
If you’re in downtown Hartford City, do yourself a favor and check out OBI’s BBQ. Great food, friendly folks, and definitely a spot I’ll go back to.

Traditional smoked meats and sides. I had the brisket sandwich, they had a choice of sliced, shredded, lean or fat. Large serving of meat, with great flavor. Really enjoyed the homemade BBQ sauce. The seasoned waffle fries were amazing! My wife enjoyed the pulled pork Mac and cheese bowl. Prompt and admirable service. Fun atmosphere with the OBI's theme. We will be back...
