Those potato chips are heavenly! Chicken was definitely better years ago when I first had it. The bread roll was nothing special. Will I drive 30 mins again? For the potato chips, yes. For the chicken, nope.
We visited Sgt. Peppers Chicken in Martinsville today and had a really good experience overall. It’s a seat-yourself place, so we were able to get in right away and only had a couple people ahead of us in line to order. The food took a little while, but everything came out hot and fresh. We got tenders, livers, fried biscuits, and Mac and Cheese. The livers needed a little seasoning on their own, but dipped in signature sauce were great. Tenders were huge, juicy, and flavorful. All of it was steaming hot and fresh. Fried biscuits were about what you would expect, and the apple butter was just from jelly packets, but still paired great. Mac was the least favorite. Really gooey, but not super flavorful. We did carry out and I didn't go inside, so no atmosphere...
