Enjoyed an exceptional breakfast yesterday waiting for the Big Boy train to roll through town. I had read the reviews but didn't believe it could really be that good. It was! I had the Trainwreck scramble and my husband a croissant with eggs. Croissant was flakey and crisp like it was fresh, not boxed. Both were some of the best breakfast dishes we've ever had. Service was friendly and genuine. Would definitely return if we visit that part of Indiana again.

Egg Town Coffee is a delightful little coffee shop with excellent food, coffee, and service. The people are really nice, and the place is not overly priced. The coffee is perfect, and the food is Eggcellent, including the Sausage Breakfast Sandwich, Biscuits and Gravy, French Toast with Bacon, and a Ham and Cheese Omlet. The Chai and homemade chocolate chip cookies are great, and the peppermint hot chocolate is the best one ever. Smoothies are the best anywhere, with a variety of flavors, and the fruit flavor is excellent. Some menu items are available only at certain times. This is the best place for coffee anywhere around Mentone.
