I have always liked Bob Evans but this particular day there was a young lady there by the name of Shay Davis. She was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable with everyone that she came in contact with. My order was correct, hot and very enjoyable. Because of Ms. Shay I will definitely be back to this location and tell everyone that I know about this location. She should be moved up to General Manager because she definitely knows her stuff.

I don’t know if they are short of staff, but this is the worst place I’ve ever been to especially knowing that there’s nothing but seniors that go here as soon as you walk in the door, there was a puddle of water on the floor. No one offered to get it. No one put it on a wet floor sign. I mean, there was literally a puddle of water right by the door entrance. I’m greatly concerned due to the fact that mostly seniors come here to eat. I saw a caution sign over by the ladies bathroom door, which was dry. I took the sign and moved it. as I was waiting for the order to be ready I let everyone who came in know that the floor was very wet into watch their step as the employees it seems not to be a concern for them.

Was going to Illinois with my mother and we ordered our favorite food items from the menu we ordered for years, Biscuits and gravy, which was normally a delicious meal every time we’ve come to a Bob Evans. This was a disgusting attempt at it, it tasted like fish and we sent back my poor poor mothers food due to the gravy being fish like and gelatinous. We told our server and she was very apologetic, she had been the only server at the time so we felt a bit bad complaining but she took it back and we had ordered a side of sausage and then the shift lead had come to our table asking how everything was and we said “not great” and she just said “oh no, I’m sorry” and asked no further questions (this will be important later) before walking off, it had been twenty minutes at this point with no sausage to replace my moms fish sauce of gravy so I had given her mine of my biscuit sandwiches. We asked the shift lead for the check and then miraculously the sausage came to the table in a to go container, our server tells us to tell the shift lead to take the biscuits and gravy off the check since we sent it back and we were like okay thank you. We get our things and go to the register and tell the shift lead what our server told us to and she responds in the most fed up voice “well why didn’t you tell me that when I was at your table?! Yknow what? Whatever it’ll be $43” And I have reason to believe that she still charged us for the biscuits and gravy despite the fact that we had asked for it to be taken off since IT WAS NOT EATEN AND SENT BACK. This was very disappointing….

Coffee was cold and gravy was thin and watery. We told the waitress and she told the manager. The manager came to our table and got us new hot coffee and thick gravy. She threw out the other gravy. Kudos to the waitress for bringing it to the managers attention.

We went an hour before closing and I felt they had already closed! They vacuumed right by us when we were eating. My first meal came overdone and dry. The manager cooked my entire meal again for me

Came in today for breakfast, and unfortunately, I left disappointed.

Let’s start with the potatoes: they tasted like they’d been fried in old oil and were still undercooked. No seasoning to speak of. The sausage? Crunchy—not in a crispy way, but more like charcoal. The bacon was so tough I could’ve mistaken it for venison jerky.

And then there was the gravy. It just tasted... off. It had a strange gray color and was so thick I could probably use it as drywall compound. Not exactly appetizing.

Originally, I was going to give 3 stars. While the food missed the mark, the service was quick and the staff were friendly—that counts for something. But what made me drop a stars was the price: $14.35 before tip for a meal like this!?

For that kind of money, I at least expect the food to be properly cooked. Overall, just a disappointing experience. There are always alternatives—some better, some cheaper, and many more consistent

P.S. I only touched 5 potatoes. Thats the amount that came with the plate.

The waitress literally tossed the plate in front of me. I wish shocked it didn't break when it hit the table. Not the typical service you get here.
