Although the waitress was attentive, she did not bring my "to-go' container back to our table with my leftovers in it. After paying, (and sitting there for quite some time) I had to flag her down and remind her. Finally, after securing my leftovers, my wife and I left for home. (I had drove her an hr each way for a Valentine's Day dinner) The following day (at the Post Office) I realized the waitress also failed to return my card to me after taking my payment. I called Gino's and spoke to a lady. "I'm the disabled veteran with the service dog who was seated in the back room." She stated she remembered seeing me as she was on last night... Her answer... "Come back and pick it up." (An hrs drive each way) No offer of apology for any inconvenience. I asked for a manager. Was told he was not here, but she would have him call when he came in. (He did not) Later that evening, I called back and spoke to the manager, but he cut me off stating he can't talk because they were busy. Call back later. When I did, he assured me if I called at 8AM the owners would be there, would answer, and would handle the problem. I called back. You can guess what happened ... NO ANSWER. These people care NOTHING of inconveniencing their customers. I'll NEVER return.

I’ll start off by saying the service was excellent!! However, I didn’t enjoy anything except for the complimentary peppers, bread and wine. My $46 Ribeye was very disappointing. No flavor at all. The mushrooms were too oily and the Oysters had to be sent back. My husband had chicken and he said the chicken wasn’t fresh. Gino’s had one chance to get it right and failed. I will never dine there again. Extremely disappointed

I have been going to Gino’s for over 40 years. In fact i worked at the Original Gino’s Steak House in Harvey, Ill over 40 years ago. Gino always took such pride in their food, especially their steaks. When i was recently at the Gino’s in Merrillville i couldn't believe the decline of the food! They served us these complimentary meatballs that had SO much pepper on it i was sneezing before i put one in my mouth, the lobster bisque soup was horrible! I sent it back after the first spoon. The salmon was dry and the filet was like eating a steak from a Golden Coral. Ugh. I couldn't believe it. That was it for us. Will never go back. So so sad. Gino would be devastated.

We have been coming here for years. Stopped for awhile due to the food was so inconsistent. Appetizers are fantastic!! Always good...Although if you don't get a steak the food( chicken dishes) are extremely blan. My wife and I both got chicken dinners. Mine the Chicken marcella and my wife chicken piccata. Both tasted exactly the same,. Mne a hint of Marcella and my wife's a slight hint of lemon. Extremely flavorless. Good drinks, fantastic Appetizers.. they need to just stick to steak!!!
Our waiter was CJ very dope polite, passionate waiter through out our experience it was fantastic. Martini drinks strawberry lemon drop shout out to the bartender she did an awesome job on the drinks. Definitely will recommend.?
