A little cozy corner... food was delicious, but I think I was hangry when I pulled up cause I had a few questions and I think the server didn't like them. Overall though great portion sizes for the gyro plates ,and the pizza puffs are good for something light but heavy. 9/10 wish I would have dined in for the full experience but will visit again while in Indiana.
Parking: Parking is limited in front of the restaurant but there is street parking and a shopping center just across the street. Restaurants microphone for drive thru was a little crazy but still good food.
Kid-friendliness: Smaller portions available
Wheelchair accessibility: Someone might have to hold the door for you.

I have visited this place a few times prior to pick up my mother's order. I recently visited for to order a gyro for myself. The food was absolutely delicious. The meat was well seasoned and cooked, the cheese, onion, and tomato were fresh, and the pita was warm and soft. The fries were hot and crispy. Impressive, and the best gyro I've ever eaten in my life. I took off one star because there is a middle-aged white female employee who is extremely unpleasant. The three times I've been here, she has made the visit uncomfortable. If you can look past the employee, you'll love the gyro.

King Gyro was previously my top choice for gyros during the ten years I lived in Indiana. Recently, after several years away, I decided to revisit the restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
Upon calling in my order, the employee handling it abruptly hung up. I brushed this off, assuming she was simply busy. Unfortunately, during my visit, the staff member taking my payment was clearly distracted, engaged in a loud argument with a co-worker.
When it came to the food, I noticed a significant decline in quality. My gyro was excessively greasy, and the overall flavor was not as I remembered. The following day, I experienced severe food poisoning, which was unexpected. It seems that King Gyros has undergone changes in recent years, resulting in a much different experience from my previous visits.
Be sure to stop by and give Jim and his team at King Gyro a try sooner than later. Their menu items are spectacular, I tired the Gyros sandwich, Greek Salad and Gyrolls and let me tell you, everything was incredible. Using only the freshest ingredients and Mom's recipes for their sauces, they bring a consistently great food experience to Merrillville. Oh, forgot to mention, their ribs are juicy, tender, off the chain and their biggest seller !!!

We just moved into the area and were in the mood for gyros so we decided we would try King Gyros. I'm so glad we did. I was greeted by their awesome employee Wanda who was super friendly. She gave tips on the menu and what to try. She even introduced me to Angel the owner who was back there working on the line with the other employees. The food was ready when I got there. Everyone was so friendly and it really made me feel like it was the neighborhood spot I had been going to for years. Now to the food! We ordered the gyro dinner plate and added 2 extra pitas to it (it comes with 2 already) and an extra tzaziki sauce. It also comes with fries, onions, tomatoes and feta cheese. Let me tell you, it was money well spent. There's plenty of gyros meat to make at least four gyros worth. The extras to top the gyros meat were plenty. They also have a delicious tzaziki sauce. All in all, it was really a great experience and I'm so glad they're just a couple blocks from our house. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner. The prices are spot on for what they serve and they make sure you get your money's worth!

The food taste wise pretty great the amount was great. Gave order over phone asked for a cheese fries didn't get them. They didn't charge for them must not have heard me. Ok she asked if we wanted our sandwich beef combo dipped we said yes DRY as can be. For 61.00 for 4 people pretty good also the young lady giving food rude.

Currently sitting in here waiting on my food and the cashier that is here has TERRIBLE customer service. Me and my coworkers eat here often and I HAVE NEVER experienced anything like this.
