Would give negative star if I could. Racist very unwelcoming to people of color. I asked about Wednesday drink special and was told location did not have any drink specials. However a friend of the family contacted location and was told Wednesday drink special was Margaritas. I was not offered drink special and paid full price. Food was delivered fast and cold. People of color avoid this location.

Apparently Pepeās make their own taxes. I had a coupon for 10 tacos $19.99 and was charged $25 because their ātax is higher thereā itās not for the money, itās the moral that I was a regular customer and they pulled this on me. Iām not an idiot I know how to do math.

Iām VERY disappointed in my door dash order. I received cold tacos, and Garnachas. The garnachas barely had any chips, the Cheese was not melted. Itās like they just threw the cheese on top and threw it in the microwave. Considering Iām a frequent customer im very much dissatisfied and disappointed.

Worker was rude she brought me my order and told me 3 more times ā hereās your order ā like she was rushing me out the restaurant I order 13 tacos total and there was no green or red sauce with the tacos so I went back in there for my sauce with my order I had to pay an $1.00 for an 2ozā¦which doesnāt make sense because your suppose have sauce automatically, then the chicken tacos were very chewy felt like I was chewing gum Iām disappointed because I grew up here in this spot.

If Iām in Merrillville and itās time to eat this is my favorite place. The from the food, and atmosphere to the nachos and salsa, donāt forget to order Horchata, itās the best drink ever. My favorite are the burritos, my daughter gets a combination plate, my granddaughter loves the tacos. Something for everyone.
Never again! I ate here earlier this year, and the food was fine. Stopped in to pick up tacos and fries and was quickly irritated, placing my order to see that they now charge for hot sauce and peppers like why not raise the price of tacos by $.15-.25 cents, so usual condiments are included? Just seemed extremely petty to me. The wait wasn't long, but once I got home and we sat down to eat, I was extremely disappointed as well as my family. The fries were horrible no seasoning and undercooked. The tacos look like the shells had be slightly warmed on the grill? the meat was , with remnants of ground beef, the lettuce a few shreds that was wilted no tomatoes. We tried to eat it but it ended up being in vain because no matter how we tried it just didn't work so my money went in the trash and for a family of 4 needless to say I won't be back!

Our particular waitress was in such a rush and not good at listening or multitasking. She made errors with our order and blamed us saying we ordered something different, brought out lukewarm soggy replacement food and seemed irritated that we had to ask her for every little thing like sour cream, peppers, hot sauce, refills, etc that SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASKING US! The food was decent, but to take a trip like this is difficult for my aging parents and to deal with poor service is no longer worth the effort. We decided that was the last visit here after coming to Pepes (various locations) for almost 50 years!!...sad. Also, whatever these cheap chips are they've switched over to are terrible.
