Never again! I ate here earlier this year, and the food was fine. Stopped in to pick up tacos and fries and was quickly irritated, placing my order to see that they now charge for hot sauce and peppers like why not raise the price of tacos by $.15-.25 cents, so usual condiments are included? Just seemed extremely petty to me. The wait wasn't long, but once I got home and we sat down to eat, I was extremely disappointed as well as my family. The fries were horrible no seasoning and undercooked. The tacos look like the shells had be slightly warmed on the grill? the meat was , with remnants of ground beef, the lettuce a few shreds that was wilted no tomatoes. We tried to eat it but it ended up being in vain because no matter how we tried it just didn't work so my money went in the trash and for a family of 4 needless to say I won't be back!

Our particular waitress was in such a rush and not good at listening or multitasking. She made errors with our order and blamed us saying we ordered something different, brought out lukewarm soggy replacement food and seemed irritated that we had to ask her for every little thing like sour cream, peppers, hot sauce, refills, etc that SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASKING US! The food was decent, but to take a trip like this is difficult for my aging parents and to deal with poor service is no longer worth the effort. We decided that was the last visit here after coming to Pepes (various locations) for almost 50 years!!...sad. Also, whatever these cheap chips are they've switched over to are terrible.

The food is always great and the people providing the service are friendly and really take care of you. The food comes out hot and the margaritas are delicious.
Sat outside and was waited on very quickly. The waitress was super kind. However the food was just ok. I had the tostadas and my partner had a salad. The entrees were fine but the rice was bland and the beans were a light grey and also lacked flavor. Chips were fine but the salsa was hit or miss. The first round it was fine but after that they just tasted watered down or something. Ordered two margaritas and they were $20* each which was crazy to me. No prices on drink menu but if I paid more for my drink than my food I expect it to be good. Tasted like juice, little to no alcohol. Won’t be coming back or recommending.
It's one of my favorite places to visit when I come home. I was shocked that they weren't on 83rd & Broadway anymore, but the food is the same as I remember. I was not disappointed. I ALWAYS order the pork tostadas, guacamole tostada, and guacamole and chips. The salsa is top tier.
