The Funnel Cake Man

The man who served my food was very impolite and rude. I didn’t even get to finish getting the rest of my toppings because of his bad attitude.

I hope they NEVER close their location at Southlake mall in Merrillville.
It was my daughter first time ever trying funnel cake, she loved it as well

They supposed to open at 12. Nobody was there. Fix your hours

My nose took me here while I was in the mall, I was really impressed! Not only was it delicious but it comes with so many choices and it satisfied my taste buds so much to where im thinking about it when im at work everyday. I’m comin back soon !

Customer service everywhere is declining . I don’t understand why workers think it makes sense to cook food while using their phone , it’s unsanitary. No gloves , no hair nets ….nothing . I walked up worker still on the phone , I order the product still on the phone , she is making the product while phone is in other hand and as it’s cooking still the phone .

The funnel cake was amazing and delicious would eat it again and again, but the service was poor the person taking my order had a attitude and wasn’t welcoming and mad us feel we was a inconvenience the cashier was on the floor with her friends not paying attention but overall great funnel

I only have it one star because the funnel cakes taste good. However the service here is horrible. The 2 employees that I have encountered never smile. They seem as though they hate their job. I spoke and the tall gentlemen didn’t even speak back. So we waited at the counter waiting to be serviced as the gentlemen was cleaning and spraying a ton of Fabuluso, still no acknowledgement. He eventually said I will be with y’all in a moment. Okay he continued to spray and clean. Then came around and took our order. Not sure why the morale is so low here, but it is very unwelcoming to say the least. I go to the one in Orland Park they are happy and smiling. The young lady that works here took our ordering and was on her phone the whole time. She put toppings on that we did not ask for. This location has to do better. It’s not a good look at all to be so unprofessional. I will continue to go to the one in Orland just for the good service. You have to treat your customers nice, they are the ones that keep you in business.

Finally made it to the funnel man location in Merrillville after being told that the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. After waiting just a few minutes, a young man came into the shop from the store next door and took our order. No acknowledgment, hellos, thank you, or even a goodbye. I will not be coming back or referring. I did find out the owner passed, hopefully the attitude changes to keep his memory alive, and make him proud by continuing his legacy with good service.
