The BEST! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Michigan city. The Oxtail! Mannnn...and my grandmother even wants the cabbage recipe! And love the vibe! 🎩

The food was pretty good I got the Jerk ribs with a side of Mac and cheese. The rice looked pretty janky and I didn’t like it but the people at my table did. Service was pretty bad. I don’t blame our server though because she thought a different server was at our table. The music was very different because it kept skipping songs and going silent and it even skipped ad breaks. Also, my ribs were a little chewy.

Sweet potato’s from the can. Mac n cheese 0/10. Service 0/10. They argued amongst each other. Asked couldn’t swap sides because the potato’s were nasty… they wanted to charge me. I’m very discouraged and probably won’t come back.

waited an hour for a takeout order that I paid over $95 just to get a messed up order, mushy vegetables, completely dried out chicken and charcoal rib tips. while half the staff was semi helpful the rest were rude,and clueless. owner/manager came by once barked a few words in gibberish and left to do whatever. waste of time, money and gas. never again will I visit there. I've worked in food service for over 30yrs and this place was an inexcusable hot mess.

What an unexpected gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our food. The atmosphere is very laid back. HIGHLY recommend the jerk chicken meal! The flavor on the chicken is DELICIOUS - literally finger-licking good! The wings were also worth having. Our waitress was very sweet. We will make a point to return the next time we come to Michigan City.

Cool Runnings serves excellent food in generous portions. I had the jerk chicken, and my husband had shrimp, and we both enjoyed our meal. The environment is casual with a bar area and indoor and outdoor seating.

Ordered oxtail stew and jerk chicken - the portions were huge, but the food was so good we finished everything. Also loved the sides of green beans and cabbage.

Food is great! I would order take away but won't dine in again. I took friends here raving about it. The service was slow and I then was hit with a 60$ service charge for having more then 4 patrons. Why do places pull this crap then also ask for a tip??
