What a waste of time. Do not arrive at 7:40 or later if you want food. Employees literally “ don’t know what happened to my order” after they read back nearly a $50 ticket to me. Almost 45 minutes passes, all employees have gone outside to hit their vapes and about 830pm I reached out to one of the employees smoking in the back about my order and they told me the above. What a great dinner.
Best burgers ever! Adam is a great kid!

Great little local shop that's been around for nearly 100 years! The owner is fantastic and so kind and this place supplies a lot of kids their first job. Fantastic local ice-cream and tasty food too! Definitely a must visit, but remember to be patient because most of the workers there are still kids :^)
Always love their ice cream, burgers, fries

Loved coming as a kid, the place hasn't changed much. Food is filling and cheap, a kids meal comes in a cool car, and the ice cream is still delicious. A family of 4 can keep it under $60 while still splurging on 2 giant scoops of ice cream each. I would go all year round if they were open
Parking: The drive up spots can be full, especially on a summer evening, but the lot is pretty big and they do have some tables and booths
Kid-friendliness: Kid will love the place, ice cream is delicious and cheap compared to other places
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy outside seating as well as accessible doors, might be cramped inside though

Well I guess they're famous for ice cream and other unique menu items like Peanut Butter Burgers. I only got a small cup of chili which looked more like a child size cup, was a mess and for the price I could have went to Wendy's and got better chili. The actual spice flavor was good but I'm surprised that it wasn't homemade and didn't have real chunks of vegetables. It doesn't come with cheese nor was I asked if I wanted cheese on top. The waitress was very nice but unfortunately when I asked if it was homemade chili she said she believed it to be canned and I was like oh my God you're not supposed to tell me that! I was just wanting a light dinner that day and I was not wanting to try a peanut butter burger at all. I also cannot have cow's milk ice cream either so I couldn't even try their ice cream.

We got there, ordered promptly (ice cream cones - no hot food) and was told they'd be right out. We sat there waiting while another vehicle pulled up, ordered and were served. We pressed the button again to ask if they'd forgotten our order and we were told they were closed. We acknowledged that, but advised them we had already ordered 15 minutes prior. We waited longer with no response while watching three employees walk out of the establishment and get into a vehicle. Finally a young lady came out to take our order (again). We received no apology and she acted irritated the entire time.
I have been going to various Bonnie Doon locations since I was a little girl. It's an experience. As the only location still open, one would think that customer service would be a higher priority. They're kids, I get that, but additional training might be due... write orders down!; perhaps reminding them that they're at work, not at a social event, is overdue. This is the second time we've had to check in with staff re: the status of our order, both times having to reorder, and we've only been there twice this season. This is McDonald's-level service at the only location of a beloved local diner still open. I know you can do better because I've seen it and experienced it first-hand.

I had heard good things about the ice cream here but I will never know. Their customer service had me leaving before I could even try. I do not recommend because the service is horrible. I never got to try this place and that's terrible and I had high hopes for this place. . If I could give 0 stars I would.
