“This is my favorite local restaurant, and we chose to come here tonight for my husband’s birthday. Bonus was the El Chapo is back on the menu! Seemed like there was some newer staff but everything that could have gone wrong was quickly made more than right, and without us ever asking. We were seated in another server’s section but when Jules realized we had been sitting for a while without drinks, she quickly stepped in. I thought she was a manager. Her energy is just so bright and positive it’s impossible to have a bad time after her presence. Our food took longer than expected, and without us saying a word the kitchen manager (I’m guessing) came out and apologized and discounted our bill. My steak on the El Chapo was way overcooked but I didn’t want to complain after everyone has been so good to us. But Jules walked by (again, she’s still not our server) and noticed how well done it was and insisted on remaking it. Came out perfect. Get and pay our bill. The floor manager (I’m guessing again) came over to look over our check and says oh no, I’m taking more off this for you. We didn’t ask for a single comp, and we’re just enjoying a nice night together. But I’ve never seen so many people in one restaurant care so much for their patrons.”

“Our family loves vanilla bean! I wanted to leave a review tonight because we are here during Jazz Fest which is a large scale event in the city. They have had a consistent line for our entire visit and I am sure for hours beforehand. We came around 8:30 at night and because of the constant door opening and closing it is warm in the shop and I am sure the staff are exhausted. Each one of the people working were friendly and worked so efficiently. It was such a great experience and I am so glad we stopped in!”

“Highly recommended- make sure on your first visit you have time to explore the menu. Good go to resources are their social media channels. The menu can be a little difficult to explore if you’re in a rush… but visiting their social media channels, you can look through the pictures to see what looks good to you and ask the staff to identify the name of the entrée as you’re scrolling through pictures, that’s what we did and we were not disappointed on anything. Our drinks, appetizer and dinner selections were delicious.
I did visit a few years back and had no time, randomly pick something on the menu and was not happy with the food or drink - either was the person I was dinning with — so the key for me at least - was have time to explore the menu and ask questions if you have them.”

(Not unusual in the midwest) Although we told her not to, the manager took them off the bill. Our server, Lorenzo, was very attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a very good evening. The Chandon champagne splits were VERY reasonable.”

“I happened upon this wonderful restaurant as I was leaving town. The parking lot seemed full for 1pm in the afternoon on a Friday. My initial thought was that this place has to be good. Wow! Was that thought understated! I chose the Meatballs Al Forno as an appetizer. Note: The small order has 6 small meatballs and the large order has 12. Each one of them were bursting with flavor! Each time cut into one, I would make sure to get a little bit of the cheese, some sauce and a corner of the accompanying toasted garlic bread. Every time, it was the perfect bite. Then came the entree. I chose the Salmon Limone, a grilled fillet of salmon on a bed of shrimp ravioli with Roma tomatoes in a wine and lemon dill butter sauce. The shrimp ravioli melted in my mouth. The fish was wonderfully prepared! It was tender, moist, and seasoned to perfection! The service was impeccable! Lauren, the bartender, was pleasant, professional, personable, and attentive. It was easy to recognize that she enjoys her profession. Thank you to all of the people at Papa Vino’s for making your magic happen.”

Not only was the service exceptionally well, he ordered the super large ribeye, and I ordered the parmesan crusted chicken/rib dinner, and everything was cooked to perfection. Even the sides were excellently prepared. I got the steamed asparagus which was delicious, I'm not a big fan of the stems but I do eat the ends of them, and they were cooked perfect and I ended up eating them all. This has always been our favorite steakhouse and will continue to be our favorite steakhouse.”

It seemed like they thought that they were doing me a favor because I was in their business but I will go back without a doubt to the Bremen highway location. Great customer service good attitude and guess what they honored the coupon just like always. So there's certain owners out there missing the boat because people do buy more if they come in for the coupon. They'll buy extra stuff and I don't think some owners understand that.
