The general tso and orange chicken are, quite literally, the best entree I've had all year. The wontons and spring rolls are a delicacy. If you're ever near, please visit. They have amazing portions, at affordable prices, and some of the best flavor profiles I've ever had. 11/10 would reccomend.“

“I come here a lot to grab dinner after class and/or studying and their food is really good. I recommend their Tonkatsu Ramen or their Spicy Miso ramen if you're dining in. It's still good if you get takeout, but it's way better if you have it served fresh! For takeout, I like their rice dishes. Their starters and boba is really good too!The owner is really nice and always remembers my name when I come in even though I've only gotten food from here a few times. I can tell he works hard to make the experience better for customers. This is a great place to eat and has a lot of tasty food that you can't really get anywhere else in SB! I missed them when they were temporarily closed recently.“

“Honestly I don't like Pho, but this place makes a dang good Bahn Mi. My word, it was great. The add-on of fries were just as tasty! Definitely coming back. Staff was super kind as well. We had to leave head out early due to us not realizing what time it was and they were super chill about it. Restaurant has a hole in the wall appearance at first, but trust me try it. They have much more than just pho as well. Rice dishes, noodle, ramen, curries, and more. Give them a shot!“

“My experience with the above and beyond service at Woochi started with prompt and professional service for my girlfriends recent birthday party! the 15 of us including me sat down on a Tuesday and were greeted with a fully prepped and ready table, attentive waitstaff and a drink order was in and delivered promptly. Two absolutely delicious sushi boats ( one sashimi and one sushi) quickly followed and everything was off to an amazing start! The restaurants choice in music, lighting, and general feel perfectly matches the refreshing take on a traditional hibachi and sushi restaurant! After an accidental water tip over by one of the guests at my table the staff responded quickly replacing the silverware and napkins, along with drying ( and even going as far as to mop and sweep the entire affected area!) within moments of the accident. This level of service and responsiveness was maintained throughout the dinner and sets an extremely impressive standard for anywhere else! After an absolutely perfect dinner a beautiful cake with a very neat and creative spinning rose centerpiece ended our perfect night and tied everything together perfectly! A few hours later after everyone has returned home we realized one of the birthday cards ( containing a gift) was left on the table by mistake, so I called the restaurant which was understandably closed since it was already past midnight. The next day I received a prompt response from the manager Rob who after I explained the situation. Offered without any type of prompting or request, to go through the dumpster and look for the missing gift! A few minutes later I received a second phone call from Rob informing me that the owner himself had heard our conversation and elected to personally do the deed and had in fact located the gift and would hold onto it until we could come pick itUp!! This level of service, from the gentlemen who helped clean up the spilled water, to the amazing hostess and waitstaff who handled every request we could’ve had. All the way up to the manager and even owner offering and going through a restaurants trash on behalf of a phone call! Shows beyond a shadow of a doubt the highest level of experience I have ever encountered and deserves to be recognized as such! Thank you so much to everyone at Wooshi and I’m excited to visit again!!!“

“The BHG is a hidden Asian Restaurant gem. Located in the Train Station Granger plaza this little place is a delicious spot for lunch or dinner. There is a very detailed fully Chinese menu that is prepared to your order. Typical Americanized dishes as well which are fresh and beautifully prepared. You know it is good when the Notre Dame Chinese community comes here on Date night. Come by. This place has been open for many years. You will come back. Nicely decorated, not dark or gloomy. Modern place settings.“

Woochi Private Banquet Space Japanese • $$
LL, 119 N Michigan St, South Bend - 3.77 miles

“My drink and sushi were definitely five-star. I had the Japanese whisky high ball and two types of sushi. Both were so good! The problem was the service. When my sushi arrived I realized I didn't have any soy or a dish. My server was no where to be seen. I ended up flagging down another server for help. She brought me soy but nothing to put it in. I used the saucer on the table. Also there were about 20 empty tables and the host sat me right next to the only couple in the bar. It was a bit awkward to be sitting so close to them and the woman literally did not stop talking LOUDLY the entire meal. I even got to hear about her last GYN visit. Delightful. My server did not materialize until I was finished with my meal. She popped by and said "Check?" Maybe I wanted another drink. Maybe I wanted dessert. Nope. The other servers seemed to be quite attentive. I would give it another shot because the food and drink was so good.“

“NOKU Bistro And Sushi Bar offers a delightful dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and soothes the soul. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a serene ambiance and the subtle beats of popular music, setting the stage for a relaxing meal. The hostess, doubling as our waitress, was a picture of courtesy, promptly seating us and taking our drink orders. Our culinary journey began with an appetizer spread featuring the tantalizing California roll with spicy mayo and the exquisite dragon roll, complemented by the delightful crunch of lobster rangoon. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving us craving for more. For our main course, we indulged in the lunch special General Tso's chicken, a culinary masterpiece that redefined our expectations of this classic dish. The perfectly balanced flavors, combined with tender chicken, made it a standout. Accompanied by hibachi fried rice, every mouthful was a journey to culinary bliss. To wash it all down, we sampled a selection of beverages, including a small sake that packed a delightful punch, and refreshing lemonade and iced tea.The atmosphere was serene, the staff attentive and kind, and the cleanliness impeccable. Our experience at NOKU Bistro And Sushi Bar left us eager to return, perhaps for the tempting all-you-can-eat option. Truly a gem worth savoring again and again.“

“They are underselling the chili sauce that comes with the Chive Dumplings. The Chive Dumplings are not just served with "a chili sauce". They are served with one of the best dipping sauces I've had. Really! Maybe it's a sin, but I ate some of the leftover Chive Dumpling chili sauce I had from dinner the night before on a chicken sandwich the next day and it was so yummy. I would buy it in a bottle if I could. Anyway you can't go wrong with anything you order here. :) This place has some yummy yummy yummy food.“
