“I've came here a fair amount of times for both breakfast and dinner since I was a kid, but never wrote a review until now. I stop by for breakfast before church once in a while and yesterday was the best service I've ever had here! My Jumbalaya pancake dish was ready within minutes and was absolutely delicious! My server was super friendly and very helpful as well. I look forward to making this a regular Sunday Breakfast spot. P.S. I highly recommend the Jumbalaya!“

“Visiting South Bend and this place was across the street from my hotel so I decided to try it. While standing there looking at the menu and trying to two decide what to get another customer told me I should try the ribs. So I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs and they were absolutely amazing! The sauce was delicious and the meat was just falling off the bone. They came with fries coleslaw and French bread as well and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend. I would like to go back and try some other menu items.“

“My wife and I ordered breakfast for lunch. 2 eggs over medium, hash browns extra crispy, and pancakes. The food came as ordered with friendly service. The restaurant was clean and what you would expect from a family restaurant. A great place to eat and visit with friends!“

“Had an excellent meal at The View Tavern in South Bend! The hamburger was fantastic — juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. “Thisnis a very popular, older restaurant we had nit been to in many years- my hub never. The highlight of our meal was the onion rings. They were massive! Delicious, big, and came with any dipping sauce you desired. Our friend's meals looked good, large portions and good service. My meal was good, but I wish I would have chosen something different. I chose the spicy chicken and vegetables stir fry. The rice was a rice pilaf which in itself has its own flavor and for me, does not blend well with teriyaki or sweet chili sauce. White rice would have been my choice if I ordered it again. My hub got mac and cheese which looked good, but again, nothing special.
We would return again for the Onion rings and try something different, just to have said we have it a second shot.“
