“When I asked about vegan options I was handed a vegetarian/vegan menu. About half of the items were marked as vegan or ones that could be made vegan. The Mushroom Pate (vegan version) was way nice. The Grilled Fennel Salad (vegan version) was also really yummy. And the Cauliflower was incredibly good. So was the vegan chocolate dessert. Two friends and I arrived at 7:30pm, and ate and talked till 11:30pm. Wonderful night! Updated from previous review on 2024-04-18”

“We made reservations for a dinner on the day of our visit and were lucky to get a good table. I recommend making reservations in advance to avoid being seated in the Bistro. Also, be prepared to utilize the bookstore parking lot if registered as a guest of the Morris Inn because the lot next to the Inn requires an electronic pass. I am unsure whether parking can be arranged during reservation. Regarding our interior experience, dinner was easily a 5-star event. We were placed in the care of a kind and sophisticated waitor and generally pleased by the overall conditions of the restaurant. Procession through the University toward the Morris Inn was magnificent. We shall certainly return here soon. I recommend the duck with a Manhattan and Death by Chocolate for dessert.”

“This place has absolutely phenomenal food and service. I got the chicken poppers as an appetizer; the breading on them is perfectly light and crispy, and the sauce has the perfect amount of zing to it! As my entree I got the Lil Piggy - it was absolutely fantastic. I was particularly impressed with the bun it came on, it must be made locally or in-house, because it was SO fluffy and plush! I also thought everything was priced very reasonably. I will absolutely be coming back to try the rest of the menu!In addition, the staff was extremely attentive and kind. Thank you all for an excellent experience!”

“The gentleman working was very polite over the phone and very welcoming as I went to pick up my order. I loved the inside mini diner type vibe the inside of the restaurant gave. The pizza was good but I was not a big fan of the crust. It was crispy but it seemed like there was too much flour. Would definitely recommend to try.”

“We have heard nothing but good things about Cinco 5 so we decided to try it out. The service was excellent. We asked many questions and our server was gracious and helpful with her answers. The ambiance has something to be desired. There are two main dining areas. One is cozy with all booth seating. The other, where we sat, is more wide open with a few tables and no booths. IMO it's quite an odd set up. They could benefit from an interior designer. Not really a big deal to me though. The food...ah, the food! Chef's kiss to you Cinco 5! Amazing! We started with the pork dumplings. So good with the spicy dipping sauce. I had the pad thai with a heat level of 2 as suggested by our server. The portion was generous but still a tad spicy for me. Next time I'll try spicy #1. The hubs had the chicken and steak fajitas. They didn't come out sizzling like our neighboring table's did but he wasn't mad. The man is a fajita connoisseur, these take the top spot! Both meats were tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly. Two big !! What a great meal! We can't wait to return to Cinco 5. You will love it too!”

Its owners embraced South Bend and Mishawaka and have created a space which is elegant yet casual. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Our waitress, I wish I’d caught her name, was SO kind and understanding with us. She was patient, and just made us realize that we typically don’t get this kind of service. “I was lucky enough to find this place due to a canceled flight from Chicago to Cleveland. We ordered the tasty tacos (pictured) and some gorditas. Unfortunately, we crushed the gorditas before taking a picture. They were well worth the 15-20 minute we were told it would take. I highly recommend stopping in. The service was great and the food was even better!!!”

The chef needs to do a bit of a dive in how to make delicious grits. This entree lives or dies on how good the grits are. These were bland, made with water, not butter and whole milk. Instant grits?”
“My experience with the above and beyond service at Woochi started with prompt and professional service for my girlfriends recent birthday party! the 15 of us including me sat down on a Tuesday and were greeted with a fully prepped and ready table, attentive waitstaff and a drink order was in and delivered promptly. Two absolutely delicious sushi boats ( one sashimi and one sushi) quickly followed and everything was off to an amazing start! The restaurants choice in music, lighting, and general feel perfectly matches the refreshing take on a traditional hibachi and sushi restaurant! After an accidental water tip over by one of the guests at my table the staff responded quickly replacing the silverware and napkins, along with drying ( and even going as far as to mop and sweep the entire affected area!) within moments of the accident. This level of service and responsiveness was maintained throughout the dinner and sets an extremely impressive standard for anywhere else! After an absolutely perfect dinner a beautiful cake with a very neat and creative spinning rose centerpiece ended our perfect night and tied everything together perfectly! A few hours later after everyone has returned home we realized one of the birthday cards ( containing a gift) was left on the table by mistake, so I called the restaurant which was understandably closed since it was already past midnight. The next day I received a prompt response from the manager Rob who after I explained the situation. Offered without any type of prompting or request, to go through the dumpster and look for the missing gift! A few minutes later I received a second phone call from Rob informing me that the owner himself had heard our conversation and elected to personally do the deed and had in fact located the gift and would hold onto it until we could come pick itUp!! This level of service, from the gentlemen who helped clean up the spilled water, to the amazing hostess and waitstaff who handled every request we could’ve had. All the way up to the manager and even owner offering and going through a restaurants trash on behalf of a phone call! Shows beyond a shadow of a doubt the highest level of experience I have ever encountered and deserves to be recognized as such! Thank you so much to everyone at Wooshi and I’m excited to visit again!!!”

“My family traveled from Chicago to South Bend this weekend to pick up our service dog for my 5 year-old Autistic son. While the experience was amazing, my son struggled a bit with the trip, as he is very much a person of habit! He woke up Sunday morning asking for a cheeseburger. We scrambled to figure out where we could possibly get a cheeseburger at 8am, and we were excited to see a Burger King near our hotel. We packed up 4 kids and a service dog and headed over. We were quickly and kindly informed that lunch was not served until 11. I told the cashier I had an autistic kiddo in desperate need of a cheeseburger, and asked if she knew anywhere in the area I could get one. Another employee heard my situation and with no hesitation, swooped in said she will make him a cheeseburger. This woman went completely out of her way to help my son. She had a burger cooked and ready to go in minutes. She refused my money as I went to pay for it. When I thanked her profusely, she put her hand over her heart and told me so sincerely, “She understands”. Thank you to this wonderful woman for her kindness and compassion!”
“First roadtrip of 2024 - destination: Bellaire, MI. Because of winter advisory, we decided to stop in South Bend, IN, overnight. Dining tonight at Bitro933 - a restaurant in Hilton Hotel. We highly recommend this place that is privately owned by a husband an wife team who have total control over their menu. Chadd is an excellent asset to this creative team - he is personable and makes you feel like you've been friends forever. They have really good food! The onion soup - phenomenal, the pepito steak sandwich - tender and flavorful (and big enough to share), and his dessert drink was a wonderful ending to a great meal as was the brown butter cake. This was such a fun adventure!”

Not just because of the place but the food on its own packs a lot of flavors!My husband and I ordered and split their BAART & the Monte Cristo and tried both their kettle chips and upgraded to their home fries!The home fries are definitely worth the extra buck!They also offer an adult selection of beverages that we tried and LOVED!Their Mimosa & their Irish Coffee are definitely on point for $11 each.Our server was energetic and very good nice as well. He told us the story of the process their home fries go through, and honestly, I was impressed.Our total came out to be over $60.00 for 2 people, and yes, we have spent way less, but we have also spent way more. Honestly, this place was worth every penny, and we hope to be back.”

“We don't have Culver's in the mid-Atlantic region so anytime I return to the Midwest I have to get it! My favorite is the pork loin sandwich with mustard and extra pickles, with the fried cheese curds on the side and Culver's root beer! Their butter burgers are also excellent! Custard is always good as well, rich and creamy, with good flavors!”

Each day of the week they have a special they do so check there facebook page to see what day they have what on special. They have the polish dinner every day.”

The burger and fries were the freshest I've EVER had, almost too hot to eat. The fries were cooked perfectly and the double whopper looked as good as it tasted. “I’ll be honest I was weary why of all the places I offered to treat my father for good birthday meal he would choose Culver’s.I’m glad he did one it was so much cheaper per person in lieu of what I would have had to pay at places like Applebees or chilis (his other options)The food is absolutely freaking mind blowing it’s great quality the quality of food has far outpaced the prices of our selections talking about underselling a product.I had a mushroom Swiss combo but I opted to use Rhy bread and added bacon to the sandwich. Fries were great but the sandwich omg the flavor..I can’t even describe it.On point on point on point.Very clean fast food restaurant. Super great customer service hands down from walking in the door to paying for my food and walking out with what we ordered flawless execution.Between myself my dad and mother only 40 bucks drinks included totally worth it.”

I normally don't post reviews but this place definitely deserves it. I asked the lady if she had everything and of course she said yes (should have known better with this place). I get my food and notice that the meal is small when we asked for large, no cheese on my sandwich and to top it off one of our other sandwiches is not even what we ordered! Didn't even bother to ask them to fix it because it probably would get messed up again. I understand we are all human, but when you're slow and continuously mess up an order that's where I draw the line. I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere.”

The ladies at the front desk were so nice and quick, making checking in and out very easy, and answering all our annoying questions about the area. The bartender was amazing and delightful, as was the gentleman at the starbucks. Overall, this has to be one of the best hotels in the area. A big thank you to you all for making our stay so pleasant.”

It's on Eddy Street just a few doors down from the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. There is a parking garage nearby with free two-hour parking.
