Googled recommended this place when we were looking for somewhere new to try... but I will say we were not disappointed! The service was prompt and friendly, with nice recommendations toward the menu. The food was great! I had AYCE fish (hake) and it was delicious! The breading was nice and light, so you could actually taste the fish. My hubs had fried chicken and he enjoyed that as well! This place is a great throwback to the 70's bar/restaurant era!! Our food was delicious. The service from both our waitress and bartender was excellent!! The music 🎶 was 1970's as well. All around a great evening. We'll definitely include the Blue Lantern in our plans for future trips to Mishawaka. Our price per person includes adult beverages. ;-)

Blue Lantern Steak & Seafood offers a charming old school supper club atmosphere that is homey and welcoming. The staff is attentive and professional. The menu features a variety of delectable and friendly options, including a mushroom burger, rib-eye steak, and Philly cheese steak sandwich, along with fried chicken dinner and liver and onions. The specials, like the salisbury steak with garlic mashed potatoes and perfectly steamed broccoli, are really good. Meals are described as very fulfilling and delicious, with house made Thousand Island dressing and a cracker basket with cheese. While the restaurant could use some updates, the quiet ambiance, good lighting, and fresh-brewed tea make for an enjoyable dining experience. It is well worth your time.
