Small family owned corner find. A place where regulars are called by name and new visitors are treated like family. Fast service and great food. Samples of home made soup were amazing. Chili sauce was on point and not spicy at all. I’m really glad I stumbled on this gem.

For an actual Hotdog place I would say it was subpar at best...disappointed.
So good! I remember this place from Scottsdale Mall. Kinda a blast from the past. Corn Dog & fries beat what I was hoping to get at the fair! Like stepping back a few decades.

Coney Express is a family owned Mishawaka business that has been in Michiana since 1972. Tim & Rachael are the owners and greet you with a smile when you enter thru their doors because they appreciate your patronage. Naturally one of the favorites is a Coney dog, a delicious combination of a steamed bun with a hot dog & coney sauce on top, you can add onions, cheese & mustard but you NEVER put ketchup on a hot dog unless your under the age of ten!??
If you’re not into hot dogs you can choose from bratwurst, polish sausage, chicken, tenderloins, egg salad, tuna salad & BLT’s & that’s just the ones I remember eating. They also offer salads for vegetarians. Check out their daily soup specials too.
Their NEWEST addition is their mobile cart located in the heart of downtown South Bend so you can enjoy numerous choices without having to drive to Mishawaka. Check its location on Facebook on their Coney Express page.

Wheelchair accessibility: I have difficulty walking so I use an rollator to get into the building. The owners or one of their clients always open the door for me & there is plenty of seating on the main level to avoid the stairs and access the large handicapped accessible restrooms.
