My husband and I recently dined at your establishment. The staff was pleasant and the food was phenomenal. Our wonderful server Megan was friendly, very helpful with recommendations, and just an absolute pleasure to talk with. I highly recommend visiting at least once

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Corndance Tavern last night, it was our first time here and we are so happy we chose this restaurant to celebrate. We loved the atmosphere very moody and relaxing. The food was next level, from the appetizers to the drinks all the way to the desert! I wish I remembered our waitress’s name but she was very attentive and knowledgeable. We are already planning our next time here

I had a work dinner here, the food was delicious and both waitresses were quick. Everyone loved the food, and by vote we will all be coming back.

A few good points, but the menu is very "try hard" and the food just doesn't live up to the hype, description or price. The meatloaf I had was barely luke warm. I know it's not made to order, but if you reheat it in the oven or microwave you've got to get it to a HOT state again. The smashed potatoes weren't cooked enough to smash, and the gravy, a little warmer than my tepid (and dry) meatloaf, was oddly sweet. Why are there hard slices of bread between the (not) smashed potatoes and the meatloaf sitting on top? Just to bulk it up? It made zero sense. Just put the meatloaf "patties" on the potatoes. Really. Grocery store meatloaf was better than this (and that is not saying much). It had so much breading mixed into the meat, it was speckled. The rest of the add-ons on top and on the side were adequate.
My dining companion had the special halibut, and somehow they managed to take a very expensive, moist fish and make that dry as well. And the "Mediterranean" sauce was too heavy of the kalamata olives and an overabundance of thick chunks of under-cooked garlic and halved cherry tomatoes just tossed in. Sweet, sautéed garlic is delicious, but this was nearly raw and overwhelmed everything. Judicious and careful cooking could have made this dish sing. We had the asparagus sidedish with blue cheese sauce. For $13 I exected more than 7, thick (but very short--maximum 5 inches long) spears--and I expect them when they ARE that thick TO BE PEELED. They were so stringy as to be nearly inedible. When thick asparagus is broiled, it does not get tender enough. No way on this earth. Even cut (with a steak knife) into tiny pieces, you had to chew and chew just to swallow them.
The servers were all pleasant, so nothing to complain about there.
I love food of all types from every country and am not afraid to try new flavor combinations or a chef's ideas. But diners should just stick to the steaks here. The items where the chef throws on everything "trendy" from the last 15 years of dining just don't work. Too many disjointed tastes and not enough skill or attention from the kitchen personnel to bring them together. Maybe they were good when created a few years ago, but they are NOT good now by the current kitchen staff.
The meatball appetizer was by far the most successful dish. Tender, flavorful, HOT... it was delicious. If I'm every there again, I'll just get two orders of that. And you really need to add a permanent pork dish to your menu. Tenderloin, chop, boneless loin, scallopine, whatever... but for a Midwest restaurant not to offer anything is a disservice to your customers.

Great atmosphere and service. Had a dry aged steak that was ordered medium rare but was actually served medium well. The kitchen quickly fixed the issue. Side portions were very good. Our server was attentive hut didn't hover. The bourbon selection was very good as well. I will definitely be back!

It was ok. Quality is not worth the price. Of the 5 breads on the bread service only 1 was good. My smashed potatoes with citrus were not smashed & just had undercooked bits of garlic & rosemary, no real flavor. Drinks were weak. Steaks were fine. I don't know if they were having an off night but overall very disappointing.

This is our go-to for special dates. My husband and I just love their steak, it’s always fire and juicy. They know how to make medium-rare on point ??. They also have a good service and the place is always clean. If we want to eat a good steak, we just make a reservation here, no doubts. It’s pricey but tbh, it could be way worse but it’s also worth it!

The atmosphere is very dated. I have eaten here many times over the last decade or more. It used to be one of the best restaurants in town. The food and selection has gone way down hill. The dry aged steaks are still very good. The rest of the menu leaves much to be desired. Especially for the price point. Our dinner for two with one appetizer cost just under $150.00. For the money paid the food was just average. Mixed with the dated atmosphere, I'm reluctant to go back. The service was still very good. I feel bad for the servers that work so hard to serve the average food, and make sure the guests are being well taken care of. I know that affects their tips.
