Great waitress, food was delicious. Great experience, improvement over the last several times we were there.
My wife and I have been going to Doc Pierce's for years for many reasons. We love everything about this place. They treat you like family and the food is phenomenal. The atmosphere inside is also amazing. They have stained glass hanging lights above every table and you can even purchase them. You can't go wrong going to Doc Pierce's.
Drinks were fabulous! Steaks came out over cooked but they made it right. Salmon was awesome
Great food and service, but confirmed our reservation and still had to wait 10 minutes for our table.
Had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Great staff, great food we give it two thumbs up! 👍👍
Huge disappointment after seeing all the 5-star ratings. We were passing through town and were excited to try. It was a Friday night but it was not busy. However, our server Debi was rushed and inattentive. We ordered only appetizers as our meals- the shrimp cocktail was frozen and when we told Debi there was no apology when it was returned (who knows if we got new shrimp?) The chili had such a vinegar flavor it was inedible. The seafood gumbo was good and hot. Debi mistakenly brought the wrong dinner salad and because she never checked back after bringing it, I had to get up from the table to find her to get a replacement. Again- the restaurant wasn't busy, no reason for poor service. There was another older blond server who didn't speak but only tossed food on our table- obviously asking for thawed shrimp is unreasonable! This restaurant seems to have a loyal following and maybe they're friendlier to locals but that's pretty unfortunate way to treat any customers!
It's an older establishment, historical building, dark and cozy atmosphere. Food is traditional, like hand dipped battered onion rings. Wedge salad is great, French onion soup stellar and bacon jam burger delicious as well. Service is quick and accurate; good food like this takes time, and that's ok. It's a relaxing atmosphere.

Great place for a Saturday night dinner! Great Staff! Very good food and wonderful ambiance. There were six of us that night. We all enjoyed ourselves and complimented the food. Waitress was very kind and patient with us. She made sure all of us were taken care of at the table. We also probably, over stayed our welcome. They were very kind in letting a group of friends enjoy conversation. Thanks to all of you Doc Pierce! Mishawaka should be proud of your commitment to their city for soooo many years.
Great steaks cooked perfectly. We do not like the special season so ask for just salt. They need to spend some money on the tables need refinishing badly. The second floor creaking when some one is walking. Mostly older patrons if the don't do some upgrades they will have had time with new customers
Half order onion rings now 4 ordered burger no cheese deluxe got plane burger gave extra tip to make sure it was right

Its like a time machine coming in here. I used to come here as a kid with my parents and it has not changed one bit. Its exactly what you expect. I am glad when it sold they didn't change a thing. Although the carpet could use replacing lol.

We made a reservation for dinner several weeks in advance knowing we would be passing through town on our anniversary. The photos and reviews made this appear to be an upper scale restaurant. We dressed up a little since it was to be a special night for us. The idea was reinforced when greated by a sign at the entrance highlighting that while a casual restaurant the expectation is that patrons will dress nicely. That notion was dashed when greeted by the hostess who must have just finished chopping wood as she was wearing an old flannel shirt and faded blue jeans. Strike one. I was interested in having the filet mignon and was thinking about adding shrimp to make it a surf a turf. I asked our waitress if adding shrimp to the filet mignon was the same price difference as the sirloin and shrimp option. She did not know the answer and went to ask the manager and then returned to tell me they were out of both the small and large cuts of filet mignon. Strike two. I ordered the prime rib hamburger and it was good. But I didn't come to order a glorified hamburger on my anniversary. Wife ordered fettuccine alfredo and it was very disappointing with a very thick and salty Alfredo sauce. Strike three. Overall a disappointing experience. Overrated and poorly managed (who runs out of both cuts of filet mignon on a Wednesday night? Who allows their hostess to wear run down clothes in a supposedly nicer downtown restaurant. No. I do not recommend this place.
Great place to eat with a really nice ambiance.

We picked this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. I got the steak and salmon with cesar salad and baked potatoe. My husband got steak and fried shrimp with steamed vegtables and baked potatoe. Mine was great but my husband asked for extra butter on the baked potatoe and there was the same amount as my potatoe. Then his steam was a strange size cut and had a big tendon in the middle and was hard to cut. After asking if there was anything for anniversaries we were offered a free dessert to share. We were told it was a salted carmel cheesecake but received a piece of turtle cheesecake. Appreciate the kind gesture of a free dessert. However if we had a nut allergy or disnt like chocolate this would have been sent back. Overall 4 stars for the whole dinning experience.
