Went in on 11/18/25. Service was great, employees nice and courteous. The brisket, i hate to say was just horrible. Ate 2 pieces and threw the rest away ( half pound), amazingly tough, very dry, so dry that the meat was becoming hard on the edges. They ask which style you want as in fatty or lean, I have tried both. Both were pretty dry. Perhaps, I am picky with my bbq being from the south but bad brisket is sacrilegious. Seems they precut it and let it just sit under a light....
Was recommended to eat here. Brisket was good. They had cold sauce in six squeeze tubes on every table. Portions look too small for a child's plate, so order extra. I always worry about places that have more employees than customers. Prices are on point for a Texas size plate but this is Indiana. Would not recommend.
This is a great place. They had burnt ends which were excellent in a delicious sauce. I had the baked beans and the green beans with bacon for sides. My friend had Mac and cheese and potatoes, and the brisket, which was also great. Cornbread was OK, could have been warmer. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had an interesting selection of niche soft drinks (e.g. blue cream soda) in a large trough of ice, which was a cool idea. Plenty of seating.
