I was driving in from out of state and since my husband has reminisced about Kmart subs for YEARS, I thought I would stop by Scoobies to pick some up to bring home to him. Unfortunately I was only in town for the weekend, and even though they are closed on Saturdays, the owner so graciously offered to COME IN and make subs for me!! I couldn't believe it! Incredible customer service and my husband said the Kmart subs were DELICIOUS and SPOT ON. Thank you for going the extra mile to help me bring back a memory for him. WE APPRECIATE YOU!!

When you're down and out in Mishawaka, and you're looking for a place to eat on a monday and wondering why every other restaurant is totally closed..... Head on down to the Scooby's and they got you covered. They do have a fairly extensive menu for being a tiny little diner, but the quality of the food isn't great. It's average to just below average. You can look at all the "memorabilia" while you wait. There's a Rolling Stone section as well as one for Tom Petty, and I see a Marilyn and Dean over there somewhere. Service? No service, and I meant it when I said be nice to the person who takes your order at the counter....

Parking is a death trap. The way the city has setup the parking along that street, makes it very hard to park, and then get back out later and be able to see oncoming traffic. Add that they are at the end of the street, near a light, and in between other business, and all I could do was back out blind with my hazards on, and just "hope" that no one was going to slam into me or vice versa.My food rating is based on my experience of going there and getting a cheeseburger. It was a premade store bought patty on a regular bun, nothing special except I cant understand how a burger can be made to taste that badly. I can throw an unseasoned piece of ground in a skillet at home, do nothing to it, and it wouldn't've taste that bad. I ended up going somewhere else to eat when I left, as I threw most of my order into their trash on the way out the door. Its possible that the rest of their food is great, but after that, why would I go back?

I absolutely love this place! You cannot get a better sandwich, hamburger, lasagna, etc in this town and the owners are super nice and amazing, but they have a lady there sometimes that helps out and she is super rude! I don't know if she's a relation to the owners, but she has a horrible disposition. I call to place an order and she's super curt, so I start getting curt back. I almost didn't even go pick up my order, but my stomach didn't care about someone being rude to a paying customer. And this is not the first time this lady has been rude to me or my husband. For me this is the third time and for my husband it's been twice. Like I said, I adore Scoobie's, but one of these days, that lady is going to get me on a really bad day and I'm going to have words with her. You do NOT treat paying customers like trash! If not for the support of the community, there wouldn't be a Scoobie's, so stop treating us as if we have peed on your lawn! The one star does not reflect the food at Scoobie's or the amazing owners. I and my husband have only ever gotten kindness from the owners, but please talk to that lady and ask her to leave her attitude outside the restaurant. I managed a restaurant for 30 years and I know how stressful the restaurant environment is and how thankless customers can be, but we have never once been disrespectful and we have always been very grateful for Scoobie's, but we won't ever be back if that lady doesn't lose the tude. Thank you Scoobie's and I am sorry for the one star, but it only reflects a rude employee and not the food or owners whatsoever!
