Me and my family have been going to Yoyo for yrs, always great food, fresh and flavorful... It's one of our favorites??
The Toyo Udon was a delicious, affordable bowl priced at $14. Savory broth and great tasting tempura.
It would have been nice to have a large option instead of just one size. I could imagine being hungrier.
However, the biggest flag is that it took 35 minutes for the bowl to come out-- despite walking in at 5pm for dinner, trying to avoid the rush. The two times I've been here, there has only been one man taking care of the front: taking orders, serving, and cleaning. Even though he tries his best, he's just always busy, so I hope they hire a part timer.

Every time I come to Toyo Grill, I am greeted by the friendly staff and pleasant classical music playing. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, almost magical. I always leave with a happy belly and less tension in my shoulders. I always recommend this restaurant to both friends and strangers as it is one of my favorite restaurants in South Bend.

I am not sure if we went during a weird time, but we had to wait a long time for our food. We spent about 2 hours total here and at least 1 hour was waiting on food. I did notice there seemed to only be one waitress and it was about 80% full. I think the portions were abundant for the price and it was very delicious. We do plan to go back, and hopefully we do not wait as long.
Edit: So we went back. It looks like 1 server is the usual for this place. HOWEVER, I think this is because 1 server is enough to keep up with how quickly the food comes out.
This place is definitely more for a family meal type of experience and not eat and leave sort of deal. My family and I love the food and the sushi is amazing. The servers are nice. I just think everyone should be aware that it's not the fastest place. But, because of that, it works as a great date night dinner!

Peaceful place. The people that work here don't seem to like being asked questions on their menu. They also don't do any modifications on any of their rolls. I've eaten here at least 3 times and the last time I did, I spit out most of the roll. Poor quality and tasted very bad. I was told this was one of their more "popular rolls". I will absolutely NOT be coming back.

Our family love to eat in this place for dinner or gathering! Best Korean restaurant in town with friendly service! They also serve a variety of sushi/sashimi by plate or boat.

*update: this was our second visit and we came for lunch. The food was just as amazing as our first time. Got my son’s favorite dish Galbi (Korean short ribs) and I got a chirashi bowl (assortment of slice fish over rice). It was so good and I will be definitely be back to try other entrees. This was our first meal in Mishawaka, IN. And it was not a mistake. This will definitely be the place for our family for authentic Korean food and sushi.
Parking: was ample and freeService: the owners was amazing, patient, kind and sweet.

This is the first time and also the last time we went here. The waiter was really rude to my baby( only 2 years old). 1st time went here so I don’t know much about the food. I ask him several questions and he got frustrated. The worst service I’ve ever had.

Want to be upscale restaurant. Food expensive, not very many customers when I was here. Chef seems to be very quality oriented. Server is very direct with a lot of editorializing instructions, he's also very descriptive of his food.
Great food excellent service
This is the best Korean and Japanese restaurant in town❤️ No matter what menu you order, be sure to order the fried tofu dish! It really tastes like heaven? ✌️ Yukgaejang, stone pot bibimbap, and maki are all so delicious??
On days when I want to eat Korean or Japanese food, I definitely go to Saturday Grillu
By far best Korean/Japanese Restaurant in town!
Ten-don (deep-fried shrimp and vegetables over rice), which is in the lunch menu is a must try.
The sashimi and sushi are also better than most other restaurants around. Personal favorites include the chirashi sushi, which is sashimi over rice.
Oh! And don’t forget to start off with one of its most flavorful Japanese appetizers, Agedashi Tofu.
We’ve been waiting for in-dining to open after the coronavirus outbreak. The owner was super friendly as usual and the food was superb.
