The flight was most definitely a wonderful choice for our first visit. We got to try several varieties of which the Red Curry Squash soup was our most favorite. Packed with warmth and flavor, it is perfection when combined with the fresh toasted bread. The two owners were the only ones working at the time and they were so pleasant and helpful with the options. The attention to great service is undeniable. Excited to return, especially with the chilly weather!

Use to love this place, not a fan of new owner ship, smaller sandwich’s with literally one slide of meat folded over on it, barely any mayo, went to get a drink and apparently I didn’t tell her I was getting something right, she up charged me another 1.61 for my drink and it tasted like watered down welches grape juice, is it decent to eat, yes is it worth it for the price, not at all.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided to take lunch out and try it. I got a pick 2 with a loaded potato soup and a Mac while my coworker got a soup flight. The service from the staff was good, no complaints there, but the food was not it. First thing was the soup flight came in the smallest cups ever. Like, if im spending $10 on a flight of soups I would like something bigger than a dip cup if each. My Mac smelled rank straight when I uncovered it and didnt taste any better. The soups were bland and needed heavy extras to make them enjoyable. I had higher hopes than this and I'm a little bummed to be this disappointed.

For a 10$ cup of soup. Do yourself a fave and go get some canned soup because it would taste better. Had a soup flight. Had the cheddar bacon, the chilli, the chicken pot pie, and loaded potato, all soup were lacking in flavor like they didn't season anything. The loaded potato was like whipped potatoes. Had to salt everything to make it edible. The chilli idk what that was but it was terrible. Pot pie was lacking but it was the best one. The cheddar bacon seemed to have no bacon in it. It was good to dip the delicious French bread in. But was not a good soup really. The bread was the best thing we had and the two of us share the same opinion of the food.

I'm usually wary of straight-up 5-star reviews, but it would be criminal for me to rate this place anything less. The people working were so kind and conversational and they offered to let us sample the many different soups to see which my friend and I wanted to actually eat for lunch. The price is reasonable (~$12-$13 for a meal, plus another $2.50 for a drink). I got the Pick 2 combo, which was a generous sandwich (it says 1/2 sandwich, but the sandwich was pretty hefty, plus I got 8oz. soup).
The sandwich taste was amazing, better than Panera nearby, and the soup was to die for. They uave loaded baked potato and lo ster bisque all year round, and I got the seasonal red curry squash soup. The squash soup is easily the smoothest and most flavorful squash soup I've had in my life.
I was concerned the place was going to be related to Noodles & Co. (which is right next door and woefully disappointing and overpriced).
However, from my understanding, this place is locally owned and operated, and the people running it are so great. I was impressed with everything from quality of service to speed, and the food is easily worth the value, IMO. It's on par with pricier chains, and their specialty fountain drinks are also absolutely delicious! They even have their own special root beer I'd never heard of!
TL;DR - don't skip out on this place, because it deserves an actual 5-star review.
Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is sophisticated but not snooty.

The soups are delicious with many options. Such nuce and accommodating people working - might have been the owners. Selection of organic flavored iced tea/Lemonade ever and at an excellent price. Definitely going again at my next visit to the south bend area.

Used to LOVE this place. Not sure what has happened over the last few years but 1. The soup sits in pots all day uncovered and dries out. 2. The amount of protein added for what I am paying extra is hardly noticeable. Got the mac and cheese and paid for added grilled chicken. There were maybe two bites of chicken in that. 3. I used to get rewards all of the time and simply had to give my phone at the counter. Now I have to scan a receipt online. Not a fan of these changes…. These problems have been consistent my last few visits. Sorry Z! Eats…..I’ll be across the street at Panera.
