After a long search, I finally found a vintner in Indiana who excels at turning noble vitis vinifera grapes into great tasting dry wines that rival our best US wines. Carousel’s un-oaked Chardonnay, its Sangiovese and its Cabernet Franc were unexpected but definitely very pleasant surprises and a delight to drink. Dry wine aficionados , Carousel Winery is worth the trip to the Mitchell area. Kudos to Sue Wilson and her late husband Marion!

Went in, expecting a ton of sweet wines. To our surprise, their dry and semi-sweet were fantastic! While the sweets were still a little too sweet for us, they were very drinkable and not syrupy. We left with 4 bottles and loved our time there. The peace and quiet is worth the trip!

Carousel Winery is a sweet hidden gem that we’re so happy we stumbled upon during a baseball tournament in Mitchell. Sue is the absolute sweetest, the wine (especially the Riesling) is SO GOOD but the conversation was the best part, we will be back!

Website says open 10-6. Facebook page and TripAdvisor not updated. We drove out specifically to visit the winery. Closed. No signs. No hours posted. It looks operational - but hard telling when that is. Frustrated and disappointed as it is well off the beaten path.

This is my FAVORITE winery! Every wine here is a hit, and Sue is always a pleasure to see. It’s a small winery out in the country and it’s always a great time when I go. I buy at least six bottles every time I go (gotta stock up.) Come here, you won’t regret it!

My husband and I were out driving around on a beautiful day in the Mitchell Indiana area. I mentioned to him I would love to stop at a winery. We saw the sign for the Carousel Winery. It led us down a beautiful road with tranquil scenery. Sue, who is the owner was absolutely wonderful! The biggest surprise of all, was every single wine we sampled was delightful! It is a quaint little winery with a story. If you want a great experience and some of the best wine ever! Stop in to visit Sue at Carousel Winery! We will definitely be returning! The Edwards

Went there on a trip to Sping Mills. Every wine we tried was to die for! And I say that as a person who drinks wine occasionally. I can say that is not the case of places Ive been before. Do try to support her.

This is a great winery in the hills of Lawrence County near Mitchell, Indiana. The wine maker Suzy was a delight to visit with. Her wines have won many awards and are excellent. You will not only enjoy her wine but also the peaceful serenity of the location. It is a great experience and you should check it out.
