We were at Spring Mill restaurant Saturday & was so disappointed in the meal. It was suppose to be ready at 11:00 & they were putting food out at 11:15. Salads were not out before the hot buffet. It’s not like it use to be. The food looked like it was from a frozen entree. The serving things had heavy lids to open every time you went to get food & it’s hard to manage it. It’s not like before renovations! The price is really too high for what it’s is. Sorry it has lost the good old Spring Mill tasty food!

They are closed for a couple of years for a much needed remodel

The convenience of this dining was what makes it, but it was a Lil pricey for us and the food was...poor, in my opinion. The coffee creamer were expired and the eggs were not the best and the biscuits seemed old. This was not from the buffet, but from the menu. The staff was SUPER friendly though! And it was a clean, inviting atmosphereLike I said, the convenience of it made it.

We chose to eat at Spring Mill Inn while staying in the park. Although we were seated quickly and our server quickly took our order, it took 20 minutes before they were able to tell us our pork tenderloin was out. It took another 20 minutes to get our food. Average food - burger was overdone. Selections were average.

We had breakfast two days. Service was good. Staff friendly. Buffet closed due to Covid. Staff all wearing masks. Menus was limited. Omelette and hash brown potatoes, biscuits and gravy were all good. Enjoyed all the artwork from local artists. Like everywhere else hotel and park were short staffed due to Covid.

Options are as expected for being ran by the state park system. Their biscuits and gravy were excellent as well their potatoes O'Brien.

The food was good and service was great. I will say, TripAdvisor had this labeled as vegetarian friendly and it is not. I ended up eating sides and a salad and they were good, just not quite enough protein. As far as desserts go, the fried biscuits with apple butter are a must!

Stopped at the Park on the way to French Lick. Decided to have lunch at the Lodge. We both had a very nice lunch. Food was very good along with the service and prices. Had a great pork tenderloin sandwich. Very big, ended up not having dinner that night.

Stayed 3 days at spring mill Inn. At this time I must say improvement has to be made in terms of choice of meals. Meatloaf two days in a row was offered as special. It was edible. Catfish throw it back. Breakfast was decent. Coffee was weak.

The menu is limited due to Covid. There's no longer a buffet, which made me unhappy. I remember the Spring Mill buffet with fondness. The food was served hot & tasty. The service was swift & courteous. The floors & table were clean & not sticky. I can't rave enough about the sugar creme pie! We came back the next day, got another piece & tried the persimmon dish as well (we split both!). Worth a try!

Great good and great service. Prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet both mornings that we were there. Sitting next to the fire is an added bonus and looking at all the paintings was enjoyable.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it is old. Nicely decorated. Not many outlets. Bathroom needed updating. Indoor outdoor pool was awesome. Great to swim outside in October. There were lots of things to do at this Inn and park. Just be prepared for a little rustic.

Our room was comfortable and the view nice. Unfortunately the Inn was built before the demand for electric outlets jumped. We couldn't have the lamp and the microwave and refrigerator plugged in at the same time. In fact, the microwave wasn't even plugged in when we arrived. Another lamp was idle as there was nowhere to plug it in. I had to move the night table away from the wall to plug in a charger and found that the area hadn't been cleaned in some time - chips and other debris were littered against the wall. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The eight foot vanity in the bathroom was nice, too. We enjoyed sitting outside on the rockers and checking out some of the trails near the Inn. The Nature Center was worth the stop and the Naturalist was very informative. The buffet was extremely disappointing. Having dined at Turkey Run and Pokagon State Parks we expected a similar spread. Not so. The salad offerings were meager. The other Inns had lavish salad bars (main course not offered nightly). Here the same items were put out each day we were there. The trays of corn and green beans seemed straight from a can and the carrots were cooked to mush. Turkey Run has exceptional chili so when it was put out here one night I looked forward to trying it. This is the first time I was literally unable to choke it down. I have no idea what it was made of. While we loved the accommodations it seems that the dining choices could use some attention.
