Me and my husband were visiting from out of town. The salsa wasn’t very good, kind of tasted like ketchup. The atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant to look at. (The seats were ripped, trash on the floor ect) The waitress wasn’t rude but wasn’t very friendly either.

We have had El Tapatio many times and each meal was fantastic. Both dine in and takeout, we had great food, ample portions, great service and really good prices. Truly the best tacos in Monticello!

We go here quite often, and this place never disappoints. The chips are hot, fresh, and crispy. Dipping it in the salsa makes it so delicious. The servers always check up on us, refill our water, and give us more chips. I always get the shrimp and rice, and I am full WITH leftovers. The portion size here is amazing for the price. Their beans and rice are also great, and so yummy to dip chips in. My family and I loves this place, and we always have good experiences here.🫶
