The best restaurant in central Indiana! My husband and I are regulars here almost once a week. Food and service are always 10/10 and we love to explore their daily specials. We especially love when Jason and Tiffany are our servers.

My family loves Oak and Barrel! The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. My husband took me to Oak and Barrel for our date last night. Our waitress Tiffany was great. She explained the specials well and helped me pick a yummy cocktail. My husband had the New York frites steak and I had the Thai stir fry with chicken. For desssrt we had the brownie cheesecake. We left happy and full. If you're visiting Monticello Oak and Barrel is a must try.

We started with Chicken corn chowder and French onions soups. Both were fantastic in taste, temperature and presentation. Along with a nice house salad, we ordered the parmesean crusted chicken. The chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked over baked potatoes. Everything was fantastic but I would go back just to order more of those incredible potatoes.

Went last night for wife's birthday dinner. Got seated quick, ordered quick. Off to a good start. Ordered two NY Strips with Fries and two garden salads. First off, the salad was the smallest salad we have ever had. Like, produce is expensive? really? Ok, then after a very, very long wait, the steaks came out. Butter was not melting, steaks were warm, not hot. Waitress said fries are running behind and would be out shortly. 5 plus minutes later, overcooked, not hot fries came out. Some of the fries in their little cup were burnt to a crisp and some cold and some were hot. Like they scooped up a mixed bag and served us. We did not complain because it was a birthday dinner, we just ate and left. But we likely will not be back. $ 93 bucks for this and it was sub par.

Very nice place inside but food way overpriced! Paid $42 for a7 oz piece of meat and that was all I got for the money! No salad included, no baked potato included. Paid an extra $3 for a baked potato and an extra $4 for a small bowl of cole slaw! The kicker is a beer was $3 which no alcohol was purchased but the small cup of fountain coke was $3.75. We waited over an hour to get our food. The butter wouldn’t even melt on the baked potato. Needless to say, we won’t be back! Horrible service and cold food for $125! Our server was Tony and he was friendly but new I think.

Was a great restaurant! However the food and service is not as good as I believe it can. That’s a positive because I think we went when they were just really busy. We will come try it again.
Crab rangoons were delicious. Then for entrée; we all had steak (2 ribeyes and 1 sirloin) all came out perfectly cooked and seasoned. Whipped potatoes were potatoes, nothing special. Broccoli came out cold and crunchy, not steamed like menu stated.

Best food! Portions are large and exceptional. They have a variety of specials, as well as a solid menu. Cassi is the best server! She makes recommendations based on what she thinks I will like and is always spot on. She keeps my drink refilled (which is hard). Speed of service is always just right and they offer take home family meals for 4-5 for only $39. Amazing place for whatever you are craving. Good for a quick lunch or a romantic dinner.
