At the south end of Lake Freeman is this jewel of a restaurant… wow! On the deck, you can watch the dam & power generation building while listening to live music in the evenings. Catfish is their specialty. This is my new favorite country social club!

Drive to Indy and eat at a restaurant there, you’ll get you food faster than if you come here. Said they were going to discount our meal then did not, paid full price to wait 2 hours for some greasy mediocre food and be ignored by our server. Came for a birthday, left with a few years off our lives.

If I could go back and get my time back I would. Spent over 2 hours in this place. Started with nobody coming to our table for 30 minutes before we had to go ask if someone was going to take out order so we could at least get drinks. Then we watched others that order after us get salads l, baked potatoes and food while we just waited. Then they told us no more baked potatoes but yet we watched several tables that came after us get their salads and eat, get baked potatoes . Our meal was served by per item. Never have I ever experienced that. When I finally got my salad they then brought out other sides and said here at least you can eat this while you wait. The waitress was not on her game and the food was not worth the price. I only give a 3 for atmosphere because they had a band will never go back . We were not even offered a discount!!!! The food was average and the prime rib is not as good as Texas Roadhouse and priced well above. The blue gill was below average!

We had to find a waitress to get something to drink. There was 7 of us and we waited 2 hours to get our food our waitress never came and discussed why we waited. She didn’t even bring us our side dishes before the meal until after we asked. Several others got their food even though we were still waiting.we ordered baked potatoes and by the time our meal came they ran out of baked potatoes so we had to decide on different side my prime rib was good but cooked little more than medium rare. The waitress at the end said so for long wait we were busy. We de pent a lot on our meal and no discount or anything on this long wait. Very disappointed except for the band outside playing they great while we waited.

This place was amazing. Loved sitting out by the dam. The batter on the mushrooms and pickles was great! We even got the dam cats!

There were 5 of us tonight. We had to wait for the hostess to come out of the bar to seat us, and she gave us 1 menu for the 5 of us. The waitress was busy but got to us as soon as she could. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers, and then an additional 30 minutes for our food. The waitress spilled my dinner on me as she handed it to me, with melted butter going all over my shirt and down my leg. Half my french fries went on the floor. No apologies. ALL of our food was cold and when we complained, no apologies again. Not sure I would go here again.

Kadie, our server was awesome and handled our large group with exceptional care. Food was outstanding. You have to get the catfish filets here. Comes with coleslaw and hush puppies. Great local place that has been around for years. Great outdoor seating and love the indoor bar area. A+! If you come here ask to have Kadie as your server, you won’t be disappointed!
