By far the best Italian good in the area. All 3 locations are locally owned and the recipes are delicious!

My family is so happy that Sal's Famous Pizzeria went back to their roots, and reopened the restaurant section. The service and pizza tasted like I remembered when they had the full menu sit down restaurant with table service before they converted to a pizza only business with no table service. We were greeted and served by a friendly staff. The tomato dipping sauce for the rolls was delicious with a good balance of oil, tomatoes and herbs. Then we ordered the mozzarella sticks. The cheese was stretchy and creamy, and surrounded by a crispy bread exterior that I found to be a bit thick but still flavorful. The tomato sauce was rich in flavor yet light with a good balance of herbs and garlic. We ordered two large pizzas, a Margherita and a Pepperoni. The pizzas were well baked, thin and crispy with flavorful pepperoni and diced tomatoes toppings. A couple of things I noticed. When the pizzas arrived at the table the cheese had already covered the spots where the pizza was sliced, and as we pulled the slices apart the toppings began to ooze off the crust which leads me to believe that ovens were far too hot. Also, I noticed that there was far too much exposed dough by the crust, and those parts could have been covered with additional toppings. We also ordered cannons for dessert. The sweet, but not too sweet cannol filling, was light and had a good amount of chocolate chips. The cannoli shell was light, and balanced perfectly by the additional dusting of cinnamon on top. Next time we will have entrees. Thank you for the comeback because this area desperately needed a thin crust Italian Pizzeria.Parking: There are lots of parking spaces by the entrance and behind the restaurant.

Our server seemed confused, stressed and unknowledgeable. We couldn't get refills. The booths need reupholstered. Someone sat behind me and I could feel every move she made to the point I had to sit on the other side next to my husband. Food is usually better here. They were also out of everything when we went.

Never had my pizza brought to the table with cold veggies before! But the deep dish crust was good.

since i hadn't been there before, i appreciated that he greeted us and gave instructions when we walked in. they had a great selection in their showcase when we stopped in at lunchtime. we opted for pasta dishes, though, and the portions were generous. you might note that the lunch and dinner prices can differ quite a bit depending on what time you come in. will be back!

It's just eh. Went there the other night and ordered for carry-out. Portions received weren't consistent for multiples of the same dish. Prices are high for the portion sizes. I was offered that I could have lunch size at dinner time (ie not taking garlic bread or salad), but not lunch price...garlic bread received was burnt and under buttery. Taste is ok but not impressive, especially for the price. I asked if we could upgrade our side/house salads that came with the lasagna meals, and the girl helping me had such an attitude when she told me, "We don't do that here." Ok, no big deal...just a question! Yikes.Missing ingredients on our house salads and in our calzones. Yes, I can tell that there actually isn't any cheese or peppers in there! Were charged for an item we did not order and did not receive. Had to travel back after I finally looked at the receipt (math wasn't adding up) to receive a reluctant refund for the overcharge...and I do believe they were hoping I would not catch it. In fact, I think they were trying to overcharge me from the get-go, as the price went down when I removed an item from my order and yet I was still charged for an extra item...Staff are just kids, and the environment felt not good for them. Kind of toxic but also the kids seemed kind of incentivized to be deceptive. They did claim to be understaffed for the girls, apparently who are assigned roles based on gender...either to wash dishes or man the floor...only the guys do the food...a little weird tbh. Staff were randomly running around in a tizzy trying to get last hour tasks done, w/ no other clientele in the restaurant or ordering from carry-out and noone manning the carry-out area consistently. I walked in and waited a rather long time for someone to walk by for me to request my refund. It was just a weird set up on the carry-out side anyway. I honestly can't see this business succeeding for much longer unless they choose to be more customer centered, organized and not so cheap towards food quality. Unfortunately this is only my 2nd visit in as many years, the first had similar results...I thought I'd give it this other try, support a small business. Probably won't again unless there are changes made. It's a shame because there are no other Mooresville small business Italian restaurants to my knowledge. So much missed potential!

Ordered a large 1/2 pepperoni & sausageand half pepperoni, sausage, mushroom & black olives...it was loaded with onion and green peppers! Garlic knots were so burnt they weren't even edible!

Boy was this a nice gem. Server was friendly and attentive. No pizza was ordered to gade, but their dishes were very good.

This place has gone down! Garlic knot was hard as a brick. Order was wrong. Chicken was tender but cold, may as well gave me a frozen meal to put in the oven. A block of hard cheese sitting on top. Side salad was wilted and more feta cheese than anything else. Service was okay though. I would've uploaded pics but I opened my packaging and just trashed the whole dang meal out of frustration. 25 buck wasted

I just wanted to come on here and say that Sals is NOT professionally run at all. I noticed over the counter 2 girls sitting there and Vaping and just chatting as i was already waiting 20 minutes for my food.. The girls were not nice especially Isabelle deverick she has a nasty attitude… And Joe to who calls his servers fat whales, and mean names. DO BETTER!!! This place used to be good .. won’t be returning

Pretty good only place I've ever been to in a long time that you can just get a slice of pizza a little slow on the service but pretty much worth the wait.

Went in to sals the other night and there was a skinny blonde girl taking my order that looked like she was strung out on drugs. Constantly sniffing and rubbing her nose like she was on cocaine. Won’t go back if there’s drug addicts working there.
