My family is so happy that Sal's Famous Pizzeria went back to their roots, and reopened the restaurant section. The service and pizza tasted like I remembered when they had the full menu sit down restaurant with table service before they converted to a pizza only business with no table service. We were greeted and served by a friendly staff. The tomato dipping sauce for the rolls was delicious with a good balance of oil, tomatoes and herbs. Our server seemed confused, stressed and unknowledgeable. We couldn't get refills. The booths need reupholstered. Someone sat behind me and I could feel every move she made to the point I had to sit on the other side next to my husband. Food is usually better here. They were also out of everything when we went.

since i hadn't been there before, i appreciated that he greeted us and gave instructions when we walked in. they had a great selection in their showcase when we stopped in at lunchtime. we opted for pasta dishes, though, and the portions were generous. you might note that the lunch and dinner prices can differ quite a bit depending on what time you come in. will be back!
