Mel's is a small diner with 6 tables, nestled in downtown Morocco, which had a downtown 1 block long. We Love small towns ! Our friendly waitress took our order, mine a burger and fries from the Senior menu. It was Delish ! My wife also had lunch and ordered strawberry rhubarb pie to go. It was pretty good, not the best, not the worst. A nice stopping place

Our 1st time going to Mel's Downtown!!
It's very cozy inside. It's truly a mom and pop style restaurant. It's a true gem to the town of Morocco. The young lady waiting tables was doing it all on customer side of kitchen. She was running pick up counter, clearing tables, answering the phone, waiting tables and clearing off tables. The girls in back were running around filling orders. Menu has a good variety of items. Stopped in on the way south from Chicago area. Mel’s is a great breakfast spot in Morocco, IN right off US41. Eggs were perfect, plenty of crispy hash browns and toast. Thanks for a great breakfast
