After looking at the reviews on line we decided to stop and sample the atmosphere.At first walking into this establishment I saw a mop leaning on a table.The first strike had begun.You should never clean with patrons around.The second strike is when my date witnessed the waitress coughing into shirt sleeve abruptly,given the coronavirus around very intimed.Thirdly, the food was terrible.I had the chili with biscuits and it showed up cold and bland tasting.My date ordering the chicken pot pie, which looked like a third grader stirred ingredients into a bowl.The dish was sent back because of being cold as it was not microwaved correctly.I ordered the catfish, being from south ,I thought it would be ok, I was wrong.The fries were not like the picture online they were overcooked, burnt , and greasy at which I haven't mention the fish yet.The batter looked ok but the fish was about to abruptly end this visit. The fish was greasy and not consistently the white and fluffy fish as it should appear. As I used my fork as a dissecting tool I removed the batter only to find the fish raw and not cooked with blood pockets in it .I sat the plate down waiting for the daughter's owner to explain the situation.To her credit I was not charged for the meals, but her lack of understanding that one could seriously sick or possible death from raw undercooked food.Her cook can and should not be called a cook knowingly serving the food we experienced on March 14, 2020.TO sum it up ALL THE TALKS OF CORONA VIRUS AND EVENTUALLY RECOVERING SOUND MUCH BETTER THAN EATING at THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Maybe the health dept can help. I have to give a rating of zero stars but maybe the owner's can see they have an issue to change their establishment around,so I move it to one star.

Food and service was great. We come to Muncie at least twice a year and before seeing this restaurant on the tv never really paid attention to it. Glad we stopped.

I went there on a Sunday afternoon and the food was incredible. The country fried steak stroganoff style with beets and Brussels sprouts was probably the best bite of food I've ever had in my entire life. Great service, we felt so welcome there and I can't wait to go back. Again...the food was homemade and I'm still dreaming about it. I'm sorry I didn't take a better picture I was too anxious to eat lol!

Great Experience, I had the Country Fried Steak and my wife had Vegetable Soup with grilled cheese sandwich. It was excellent, Staff was friendly and very helpful. My wife got Hot Cocoa Shake and said she loved it. This was the first time we came here but it will not be our last. Hard to find a Dinner of this quality now days.

They have taken away from the restaurant since the remodel. Like it better before. Put the old pictures back. And more on the menu. The wife and I both had the county fried steak. Made us have the craps a hour after eating it. Dont recommend it.
