We stopped in for Pretzel and a beer. I asked for a menu. Derrick recommended the Crusted Punk Deluxe Pizza. One of us had the Scottish Ale and the other the Rainbow Pop Ale. The food and beer were great and Derrick was a fantastic bartender.

My friend and I had went together and it was both our first times. The pizza is amazing and the service was beyond great. Both the ladies who served us were so nice and dope. Definitely coming back for a second time!

Good beer and excellent service from nice folks. Lots of pizzas with fun names. The fact they offer vegan cheese and meat subs is awesome. Solid vegan options are hard come by in Muncie so it's great that they are so accommodating. I will definitely be back.

The beer is fantastic! I had a sour and the peach saison and was very happy. The do serve food, but it is just gourmet pizzas. They don't allow outside food in their beer hall. Hot tip:. There is an excellent Jamaican food truck usually in the parking lot. It is highly recommend! I ate out there at the picnic table and went back inside for the beer. Best of both worlds!

Recommend getting the flight (or two) - generous servings and a good way to try the various beers. Limited to-go can selection but they offer crowlers of everything. Service was friendly even though there were only a few people working on a Friday night.

We visited from Michigan and are so happy we did! I can't decide if Frank or Peachy Peach is my favorite but their entire lineup of beers is amazing. Each one better than the next. Staff is super friendly and the other patrons are very fun too!

I first went to Guardian after they first opened. They have a WONDERFUL place. The concrete Biergarten is nice for nice days and they open the garage door often. I recently went to their Oktoberfest and Brass Band night. I had the 1872 Maerzen. It was a solid Festbier. I was a little let down with the Rez IPA, but I'm not a high IPA fan, anyway. I have not had any of the food, but watching the plates go past me made my mouth water. I recommend checking them out when in Muncie. If you live in Muncie, this would be a great addition to your rotation. Good people and good beer.

Driving through Muncie and was recommended to go to the Guardian. The beers were okay - I'm a New England, hazy, juicy IPA person and was not impressed. However the sours were very good! This place is also NOT dog friendly - probably one of the first breweries where we were turned away with the dogs.

We had the opportunity to visit Muncie so we looked for local breweries. We found Guardian for our first stop, and we weren't disappointed. It's tucked away a bit and parking was a little confusing but we figured it out. They have a few sours on tap and a milkshake IPA that was fantastic. We only had time for a snack so we got the cheese bread which was so good. The best part of the visit was talking to the manager Jason. We chatted about beer, Ball State, and Muncie. It was pretty busy but he still found time to serve everyone and have a good conversation too! The next time I'm in Muncie I'll be sure to stop back by!
