I worked with Dawn to host a group dinner for 17-20 people over the last few months and it was a wonderful experience! Dawn’s attention to detail and amazing service was truly unique and personalized to create the best possible experience for my guests. She recommended a very comfortable, beautiful room with stunning decor and a view into Vera Mae’s wine cellar.
The menu was fantastic and all the food was delicious. The portions are generous and include bread and a side salad. I can’t say enough about our incredible staff who helped, a team of 2-I am searching for their names as I post this. Truly magnificent experience! Thank you!
Son ate there with his girlfriend this weekend. Said the service was terrible. The food was below average. For the the price it was bad. They will not go back.

Service was very poor. Wait for food which was room temperature and quite a wait for check. Will probably not go back again

Always great food at Vera Mae's! The filet with blue cheese was the best steak around! The mashed potatoes were flavorful and the asparagus were perfectly grilled!

I got the New York strip— my god , it was the greatest steak I’ve ever had. The dill mashed potatoes were also fantastic.
The wine flight was great. Old fashioned was great. Some of the happy hour mixed drinks weren’t mixed or balanced properly, but couldn’t beat the happy hour pricing. The happy hour wontons weren’t bad, the tzatziki sauce had chopped cucumbers instead of grated , wasn’t very appetizing. The Mac n cheese balls, were honestly not great. But they were a happy hour app. $2 per Mac n cheese ball— I expected something better . The rolls tasted like frozen ones. The little bowl of butter that came with, was hard as a rock, and tasted like “fridge”— like
When you put uncovered food in the fridge and it tastes like the fridge . Similar to that. I give 3/5 because the steak and mash were SO GOOD. Service was 8/10, we were overcharged on our tab twice, but it was fixed . Just charged $28 for a $14 drink. But again, it was fixed after a couple of tries. Seriously the greatest steak I’ve ever had. They’re wet aged, Out of Chicago. Allen brothers. Highly recommend the steak and mash. My husband got the special, for $25, it was supposed to come with goat cheese grits, when he received his plate there was mashed potatoes on it. When the waitress finally returned, we inquired about it, and she said oh I guess we’re out of goat cheese grits— would’ve been nice to know before, or after , but we had to ask about it. Again, 3/5 cause the steak and mash were seriously, INCREDIBLE. Incredible taste. Steak was like butter. Cooked perfectly.

There for happy hour as a group of nine. Had a super time. Never felt rushed by the staff as we sat and talked and enjoyed our evening. Thanks for the experience.

I’m so sad at the apparent downhill slide since the “founding” owners left. I stopped with a friend to check out the happy hour offerings… the appetizers were so-so and the crab cakes were def NOT fresh. The Pinot noir had gone to vinegar in my wine flight. We also ordered the escargot and the sauce had zero garlic and tasted sweet??? Both of us had stomach issues the next day.

While the place was absolutely gorgeous, drinks were amazing, staff was so nice. I ordered the NY strip cooked medium, it was fairly pink but man it was GOOD. So I didn’t think anything of it, two hours later everything was out of my system and I had food poisoning. So with that being said it’s a great place but if you want it actually medium go a cooking scale up. And be careful.
