I have stayed here many times, always a pleasure. You're right in town and provided with free parking and breakfast with your stay...and a free loaf of pumpkin bread that is outstanding. Rooms are very quaint and comfortable... highly recommend, I stay here every time I'm in town...if they aren't already booked full.Safety: Very safe and secure location.Walkability: Right in town, provided with free parking.

Not a luxury room. Very spartan. Had a couch that needed to be replaced. Threadbare and cushions not fitting properly. The bed was suppose to be a queen, but seemed smaller. Would not stay again. Location was great. Food was great. Just not what I want in a room.

I was at Artists Colony recently for a meeting with a buffet lunch. The facility is great and the location is great. I've eaten in the regular restaurant and the food was very good. I've also even been to meetings here where the food was very good. Not this time. It was a swing and a miss. The only decent thing we had was the salad. The meat entrees were some tired looking beef roast and some gray overcooked turkey. The vegetables were instant potatoes with some very lackluster gravy and carrots. I despise carrots and they were also in the beef. That was the entire meal. For dessert there was chocolate cake that was extremely overbaked and dry, and I believe apple cobbler (I didn't try that.). Overall it was a very disappointing meal. I stopped at McDonald's on the way home to get something to eat. I know they can do better. I've been there when they did.
