Nice quaint place. Really good drinks and nice staff.
We went there and had a very pleasant time. There was no rush, no hard sale tactics. The proprietor gave a short explanation of the works and then said to take our time going through the shop. When we got to the bar area I told him what I liked and did like. He picked out 2 different whiskeys and face me a sample they both were very good but I chose the 46 brand. It was a great time made better by the gentleman that helped us!!
Bear wallow is the oldest distillery in Indiana. Their words. And is tucked away off a small highway off a small road in Brown county near the state park. The area is awesome. The facility is a blend of old style and new productions. Using a pot still (which I like) Bear Wallow is making some stand up rye and bourbons. Definitely worth the stop and see.
Great place nice people
This place was awesome! Female owned for 11years and doing a wonderful job. So very knowledgeable, kind, answering all questions and being so patient with all the questions! Took time to take us back and explain the process. The very best experience, the best whiskey and overall the best late morning excursion had by the three of us friends! Thank you!!
Quaint distillery with very knowledgeable bartender. Definitely make it a “must do” when you are in the area
Staff was very kind and informative, but this is hands down the worst alcohol I’ve consumed. All the distillate I sampled tasted like rubbing alcohol and lacked character literally all burn no taste or complexity like you would search for in a bourbon or rye. I had to choke down my samples to try and be respectful. I ended up getting sick to my stomach after leaving. I hope they improve but I myself will not recommend or return. It was like drinking gasoline
Excellent Experience! Very informative and knowledgeable staff!
This place is fantastic been coming here for a few years now. Their shine is excellent, but I feel like they really shine with the aged bourbon. Recipes are top notch and if you are a Rye lover you are in for a treat. Liars Bench is exceptional. And they Liars Bench at barrel proof is a must. I hope they can keep this up because it is a gem.
Thank you guys for all the love you put in your product!!°
If you're in Nashville, Indiana and enjoy distilled spirits, make sure you visit this place. It's very low key, but they have very good products. I especially enjoyed their single barrell bourbon & rye and their finished whiskey ( in maple syrup & port barrels). Their whskey is aged longer than what you typically get at the larger distillers.

We went for a tour and got there a little before and was able to a have a drink beforehand and they were great. We went on the tour with Tyler and it was an incredible experience, not only did we learn a lot we could tell how much he truly enjoyed what he does and that made the experience even more enjoyable for us. There was no question the Tyler couldn't answer, and not only did he answer them he had more information to go with the answer. Then there's the alcohol itself, I myself am not a huge whiskey drinker but I found it difficult to find a bad drink in the building, even straight i throughly enjoyed everything we sampled and will definitely be making a stop every time I travel through Nashville.
A nice little place to swing by for a drink. We did a few samples and then got a drink. Would stop by again.
It was awesome
I was hoping this place would be great, but expensive for very low-end non-complex bourbon. The tasting room is a cool atmosphere and staff were very nice.
Enjoyed a tour at the bear wallow distillery with a cocktail in hand. We learned a lot and the employee entertained our many questions. We had a tasting at the end with lots of new (to me) spirits to try. 10/10 recommend.
