My husband and I went about noon last week so early Nov 2024. There were no other customers in the restaurant and we were told set anywhere we would like. So we did. The waitress came over and took our drink order and then our app order. We waited quite a bit and the app came out. We did not see our waitress very often. I had to ask for a straw once I found her. We placed our order. It took a long time to get our food. We ordered lunch items. I had a grilled spinach dip sandwich and chili. My chili was cold. Not even warm. And so was the sandwich the toasted part was good at least. They used the same knife they cut my sandwich with to cut my husband's and he got something entirely different but it had spinach dip all over his food which he hates. Then once I realized you get your silverware from a mason jar left sitting out on the table, that you are told to rummage through to find your spoon, fork, or knife I realized there was no spoon so I had to wait about 10 mins for my waitress to return so I could ask for a spoon she the said oh it should be in that... And pointed to the mason jar, there wasn't one.. or maybe I just wanted to ensure I got a sanitary one. Either way.. I had to wait again. The silverware left out on the table was enough for me to walk out. I would have if I would have seen it prior to ordering. That's absolutely disgusting. People could be touching all over them, let their kids play with or even put them in their mouth. We can't use the honor system when it comes to people's health. Some people are disgusting or have different standards than others. I will never be back and I will definitely make sure everyone I know is aware of how the silverware is kept.

Garlic chicken and rice was terrible. The flavor was overly salty and it was a thick mass of I don't know what. There was very little chicken and it was overdone, along with mushy broccoli. Super disappointing.

The cleanliness of this restaurant was very questionable. Although the service staff seemed to be at a skeleton crew. The service left much to be desired.
The kitchen did not produce anything worth quality. The food had no flavor, was subpar at best, and was barely edible.
We left leaving 90% of our meals at the table. "Would you like a to go box?" NOT EVEN CLOSE!
Not to mention we were told the bar would be shut down till at least the end of the month. So we couldn't even get a beer. Much less a refill on our waters.

Tried to call for a Togo order the phone was answered hello and that’s it like am I even calling the right place? Then I asked if I could put in a Togo order and she said yes so I proceed to give her my order then she asked if I could call back idk who works for y’all but they are a joke and shouldn’t be working with customers very unprofessional

My daughter picked out this place for her bday and I was surprised that it was the old south side my mother used to take me when I was a child. The remodel looks great and you hardly recognize it. She ordered pasta Alfredo which was delish and I ordered the spicy salmon bowl. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. My food was not good at all. The salmon tasted like old tuna and the mayo mix looked like throw up. It was nasty. I told the waitress I didn’t like the flavor and immediately she asked what was wrong so she could let the manager know. I was being tactful and said I didn’t like the flavor. I would order shrimp with pita bread. It felt safe. She came back and said the manager would not swap/credit the salmon bowl because I asked for brown rice instead of white. They clearly used uncle Ben wild grain rice. She said they used 2 packets and it was too expensive to not let me pay. She would use her employee discount for 50% off so I paid 8-9 bucks. I literally took 2 bites.i have never in my life heard someone explain that. I cancelled my shrimp, requested a to go box and check. The fact the waitress had to use her discount took me out. I paid over $30 bucks and didn’t even eat. We had water. I tipped because it wasn’t her fault but when I tell you I will never return and will be telling everyone I know. Terrible management. Didn’t even come out and take the pressure off the waitress. She needs to be the manager. She was professional, apologized and was trying to make it right. Also we got ice cream next door ,$15 for a milkshake and the bathroom was disgusting. Stuff was smeared on the walls! It felt toxic being in there

I/we got the Triple Bypass burger and shared it. 2 of us couldn't eat it all and took about half home. The taste was terrific, the burger meat was great and the bacon, bbq and other dressings were awesome. The top and bottom "Buns" are grilled cheese sandwiches, spot on! Currently the bar is closed and I could have used a cold brew to wash this beast of a sandwich down, but what it is, it is. I believe if one person finished this, a triple bypass may be in their future, but you would go in happy!!
Tried visiting this place today 8/31/24 to use my Be Our Guest coupon. When we were seated the server said there is no functioning bar. She gave no deals as to why there wasn’t a bar available so we left. As we are seasonal here in the area I doubt we will try coming back.
I ordered a basic burger and a side of loaded fries. The meat was really fresh and perfectly cooked, but it could have used just a bit more seasoning. I added a dash of salt to brighten it up.
The bun was a generic white bread bun. They may have special buns with other burgers and I don't know about it (I went straight for the basic burger and did not look at the entire menu) but this burger deserves a better bun!
Overall, though, it was a solid meal. Importantly, I felt like I received a fair value for my dollar which is hard to say in this day and age - extra star for this.
I will eat here again which is the best recommendation I can give.

Sometimes everything is right! The food is absolutely unique and delicious. Boomtown leaves you with the feeling maybe you've never even eaten a burger before.
Staff is polite, warm, helpful and charming.
The interior design and atmosphere is so fun and on theme.
If you are dining in or ordering, Boomtown is not one to miss.

Not going to lie, I had the worst “cheesy grits” of my entire life at this restaurant. I truly think they just take microwave grits and put shredded cheese in them, creating this slimy chewy texture that is absolutely revolting. No one in our party was impressed with any food they got, not terrible but not great. The server didn’t bother asking if something was wrong with my food after I didn’t eat but a bite of it. I’d like to hear about some menu changes before I try it again!

We sat at 1130. Got our food at 1220. Server kept apologizing, but people who sat after us were served and gone before we got our food. I got a BLT, no mayo with green beans. Was brought a BLT with mayo and fries. My friend got a melt that she only took 2 bites of. At no time did the server ask her what was wrong with her food. I realize the issue was the kitchen, but the server didn't nothing but apologize.
