Staff is letting this place get out of control. There is no need for more than 4 people in a group, please!
This place was gem until they started to let everybody come in like it's a normal bar.

Nice people but just want anyone to be aware that the mocktail they made me accidentally had alcohol in it. I’m pregnant and made sure to get a mocktail. I asked to see the can after I had a few sips and could tell something was off and sure enough. We still even paid but will NOT be back after this stressful experience.

No food but damn these drinks are good. The atmosphere is so on point as well! I’ll be back regularly.

The High Street old fashioned is amazing! I moved here 4 months ago and have been here 3 times, every time is great!

I heard New Albany was getting a speak easy and I was sooo excited and went the second it opened. IT WAS PERFECT
The last 2 times I went in late 2023 and last weekend was disappointing.
Dusty, no more speak easy, and the bar tenders are not experienced. I got better drinks at Hugh E. Birs and that place scares me.

If they drinks was made better this would be amazing, but they over pour and it ruins the drinks.
The speak easy also made this place amazing since it made it unique and different than the 15 surrounding bars. Nows it's the same as the rest but more expensive with moderately better drinks.

Quaint, though spacious speakeasy you'd miss from not knowing about it. A must check out location if you're in New Albany over the weekend!

Great drinks, great atmosphere! Several delicious drinks on the menu, including the Fool's Gold (pictured) and my personal favorite, the High Fashioned. The food is definitely more bar snacks and small bites, like charcuterie, but it's tasty. The decor is fun, it really adds to the speakeasy vibes that make it a great cozy place to hang out.

No longer a speak easy. Hard to get your order taken and out at a decent time. No longer a place to frequent due to price and time taken. Miss the good old days with the original staff.

Stayed in New Albany for a weekend while on the bourbon trail and this was a great find. Very cool speakeasy vibe. We sat upstairs in what felt like an old house/ library. Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress, Rose, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She even gave us some complimentary chocolates since we were celebrating an anniversary. I got the "fools gold" and it was delicious and so reasonably priced! We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come again if we're back in the area. If you enjoy good cocktails this is a must!

Great drinks! Great atmosphere, but the place closes to early. Went on Saturday night at 1130pm, was told I couldn't order a drink because they were closing. Closing time is at 1am. It's not good business to kick customers out so early.

We came to High Street with high expectations. This "speak easy" came highly recommended by a friend who had visited in the past. To our complete disappointment, this is no longer a speak easy but simply an over priced bar. We had a small table but there were 4-5 other groups all around. While normally not a problem, it was just one big open room with small tables. In other words, it's just a bar. If you want to drop $15 plus on cocktails. I'd probably try somewhere else. And if you want a true intimate setting, Try Hell or High Water. It's just a better experience.

Are you kidding me? This place is too cool for small town New Albany. It reminds me of my favorite speakeasy in Mexico City. Such a great vibe with the nicest mixologists! I had the best gin gimlet I've ever had here (Big Fuss savory gin) and my friend and I were treated as friends despite coming in close to closing time. It's dark and romantic and warm like a speakeasy should be, in a historical building, decorated flawlessly. The menu is creative and the prices are very fair. This is my new social spot when I come to town.
