Just moved back to the area from the west coast & Stopped by for lunch at 2 on a Sat. On this holiday weekend. Great outdoor space and just an ok interior space To the point of boring. Bartender motioned to me to have a seat at the bar As he was headed to the other room to serve food. Which was fine since I was alone. I had to ask for a menu & water. Bartender was very busy he said. turned out he was the only 1 in the bar and dining area(s) to take orders and serve food and drinks. Similar exp. As others about the Reuben and fries. Small amount of corn beef and soggy bread on 1 side For $17.00. Absolutely nothing special & I love Reubens . Had to ask for napkin, flatware, ketchup salt & pepper. Wanted extra dressing but gave up on asking. One of the cooks actually delv. My meal. Mid meal in another female cook from the kitchen come out and sat at the bar between me and others with her hat & apron still on....wow McDonalds wouldn't even allow that. Very unprofessional and the bartender should have ask her to take her break elsewhere. When I paid the check he apologized for the lack of service. I asked where were the other servers and he said "I would like to know also." Not sure where a manager may have been on a busy Sat. Lunch to pitch in, but if I were the bartender I would have been calling for help. but they need to figure it out. 1 & Done with this establishment.

Wow the jackfruit bowl was so delicious I wanted to lick the bowl after! The veggies with the Gouda fondue was also amazing! Truly great food and the flights of beer were fun. The imperial stout is strong and bitter, both of which I loved! Great place great atmosphere!

This was honestly one of the most frustrating meals (using that word loosely) I've had in a while. The food was kinda overpriced and completely underwhelming. I ordered the Reuben and was so stunned by the two, very thinly sliced pieces of corned beef on the sandwich, that I just said "forget it" and sent it back. My companion had the burger, which included a double patty and was still shockingly thin. And to top it off, though friendly, the service was disappointingly slow. My friend finished his entire meal while I waited to tell them about my sandwich. So, long story short, I drank my cocktail, ate their so-so hand-cut fries and wandered around the corner to The Exchange for dinner. Moral of the story: if you're looking for craft beer - check it out. If you're wanting something to nibble on - do what I did and go to The Exchange - they have both without the extra-added frustration.

Great beer, mixed drinks and food! Limited menu but everything was tasty. Great open air layout with the patio and indoor area working as one.

Service is top notch. Friendly, informative and funny! Monnik New Albany could easily be the "Cheers" of our local area. There is indoor and outdoor serving. We shared the pretzel and beer cheese. This pretzel was a HUGE Bavarian style pretzel. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There is a large selection of bourbons and Monnik crafted cocktails. We really enjoyed our time and will make it a regular place to sit back and enjoy some quality time together.

We come here when on a bike ride as our halfway point. They have great outdoor space that we can park our bikes and if you're so inclined you can bring your dogs. I don't like beer but my wife loves their beer. I like their ciders, they are always light and refreshing after a good ride. I love their Reuben sandwich, just the right amount of sauerkraut very tender pastrami and oh so good. This time I ordered the Chicken sandwich and my wife got the Reuben lucky woman. The chicken sandwich is big, like two large fried chicken breasts big and on Texas toast and it's just okay in my opinion, but the Reuben is amazing and I think I'll stick to that.

Lunch. Generic "whitefish" had unpleasant flavor and fries were cold. Skinniest Rueben ever-not enough on sandwich to taste anything but bread.

Friendly service, clean restaurant, and affordable, delicious food! I have had a couple different mixed drinks on the menu and have loved both. Order the chili cheese fries!

Disappointed with this new German restaurant in New Albany. I felt as though the food lacked a lot of flavor - average brat and soggy chili cheese fries. Unfortunately I had a stomach ache most of the evening as a result. Will probably not give Monnik another try. Bummed, as I was excited for a new German inspired restaurant.

For such a highly rated restruant, I was underwhelmed by the food. The pretzle was the biggest let down. It was nothing more than a pice of French bread rolled into the shape of a pretzle and baked. No boiling, no real flavor and the shape was more or less a large, flat circle overall 0 of 5. The beer cheese served with it was in a small plastic cup and was served from the refrigerator. It was hard, hard to spread, pink in color and really looked like pimento cheese. The beer mustard was good though. I was also shocked that such an expensive restruant uses plastic cups to serve condiments in. A bowl or ceramic cup would have been more appropriate.Burger was overpriced and small in size (think steak and shake size, or a large slider). The flavor was ok. Nothing super great, not bad. Just meh. 3 of 5 stars.Fries are served separate from the $14 burger, and they were alright. Nothing to write home about. Lacking salt. 2 of 5. For an added $6 I expected a bit more I guess.Overall $50 for 2 people to eat with waters to drink. I can't speak to the beer selection as we did not drink, but for what it was it was overpriced and under delivered on the food. The atmosphere was good and the service for a Friday evening was pretty good

A stop on the New Albany Wine stroll and shop. The bartenders were very welcoming and they were offering 5 oz. samples of their brews. I had a tasty stout and plan on returning soon for some outdoor refreshments in the lovely courtyard!

Wonderful Dutch/German style pub with warm delectable food and tasty brews! Everything is home made and always fresh! The house made beer cheese spread is delicious and everything on the menu is a labor of love! Great place for families and just an overall amazing atmosphere!
