Storefront says open at 9 am. They were not open at 9 am
Great butcher shop, was able to get a cut of meat here that I have not been able to find anywhere else in southern Indiana or Louisville. It is a flat iron steak but not separated out into individual steaks. I got the whole cut and cooked it like a Texas style Brisket. Turned out great. Also if you are in the store, do yourself a favor and try some boudin balls.
Great service and amazing food! We ordered 100+ kabobs for a company cookout and they were a huge hit! We will definitely use Taylor’s again for all our future events.
Bruce was super nice and explained and answered all of our questions. He even gave us a sample of the Derby bites which were delicious and we made a purchase of them too along with the boudin balls frozen and cooked and those pepper balls were good too a lil spicy but i like them too.
Chef Rick cooks the best Cajun food in southern Indiana if you haven’t tried it you should because your missing out
If I could give no stars or a zero,I would! I came there and the guy up front, all he did was talk about the last owners. Ill never come back to this place. Infact it's not 10% of how it was since the last owners was there Ellis and his wife are amazing people and cooks! No need of talking bad about them
Can’t say enough about what delish tender steaks we’ve had from here! I’ve had 5 jaw surgeries and I can actually chew these:) Just incredible flavor! And it’s got to be the cleanest butcher shop I’ve ever been in. I’m new to town and places like this are hard to find. I will be back soon!!!
Had the Friday fish lunch and some Boudin balls. Highly recommend!
1st time customer. We bought a small stuffed pork loin. I thought it was a little over priced but I Was Wrong. I followed the cooking directions on the web site and it came out perfect. We paired it with a potato carrot and onion hash. Wonderful dinner for the two of us plus the other half we'll have on a nice green salad. We will be back.
It's a shame that they are still using the Taylor's name and suing them when they are no longer part of this business. The taylor's made the business what it is. Check out bayou butcher shop to support the real Taylors

The crawfish étouffée was very good, but the Boudin was bland and too smoky for what we typically order and have shipped from Louisiana. They also have a variety of other meat available for purchase like frog legs, alligator that you can’t typically purchase in our area regularly.
We ordered a smoked ham 49.99$, on Dec. 1. And we ordered 6 stuffed mushrooms. We went and picked up ham and mushrooms on Dec 21. They didn't have the mushrooms. The ham was only eight pounds, it was tough and fatty. We looked in the meat case and the burger was brown! We will not be back. So disappointed. The ham was a Sugar Dale brand. I could of gotten it at Walmart for less than 30.00$
Love everything here, but the crawfish etouffee is my favorite! Just add rice for a quick and delicious meal!
Good food. Fast service. Seafood balls were great with hot sauce.
Excellent food at a great price! Had catfish special last week, having the brisket special today. Highly recommend.
