Owner said she'd fired a pregnant girl for being pregnant.Horrible person who knows nothing about baking. Carries a gun in the shop. Treats employees like slaves.

Bought a small Key Lime Pies at Valu Market. Very, very good.

The Italian sub is to die for. Literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Wonderful baked goods, the chocolate chip cookies are my favorite.

Winnie was the owner's mother; owner Paula Cook (what an ironic last name!) herself is usually on duty to take & fill orders; she even has a cot to sleep in the back during busy times; because it is a small operation, there are sometimes gaps in when the store is staffed, so open hours DO occasionally vary from what is posted on the front, but there is generally someone around during the main part of the day Mon - Sat; go by & have lunch & see for yourself; my husband & I can recommend the Italian sandwich, chicken salad on croissant, potato salad, & cream cheese tea cake cookies; there are always different sweet treats in the case to try; she serves hot meals, Boar's Head deli meats, takes orders for all kinds of baked goods, & has a meeting/party room in back that accommodates about 20; she would love to host your group for lunch

seems like they have sporadic hours, every time I go by there it's during open hours and there's no one there it's locked up tighter than a drum. Just went by there on a Saturday today at 1 p.m. and they are closed again. They might be out of business

They have freshly made sandwiches made to order as well as they have a hot lunch every day. I walked in before the lunch time because I wasn't feeling well, and I didn't feel like cooking. The triple-decker sandwich is amazingly good. I would recommend to any. The building has tinted window so it looks like there may not be open, but they really are. just go in and see for yourself.

Winnie’s is a great deli and dessert shop in New Albany. I stopped in here the other day and got a sandwich and dessert to take to work. I ordered the triple decker club sandwich and potato salad. The sandwich was huge. Both were delicious! I had a lemon bar for later on and it was great as well. Very lemony, which I love and the perfect texture as well. Winnie has daily hot lunch specials that rotate. She caters and even has a room for parties! She’s located on Vincennes Street, perpendicular to Market. Stop in and see her; she’s super sweet and has great food!

Besides being a very sweet lady, Winnie makes one heck of a sandwich. I've seen this little place now for some time, but have neglected to stop in either due to bad timing or the fact that I couldn't tell if she was open due to the partially tinted glass on the windows. I'm sure glad that I finally got around to trying Winnie's. Better late than never. Located on Vincennes Street in New Albany, it is perpendicular to Market Street. Winnie's is a sandwich and dessert shop that also offers hot lunch specials. Yesterday she had lasagna; today she has Hot Browns. I stopped in here to pick up a sandwich to take to work, as I was looking for a cold meal. I chose the triple decker club sandwich on sourdough based on a picture from Yelp. It was very good and also huge. I could only eat half at one sitting. As a Southerner would say, "Dagwood ain't got nothin' on Miss Winnie". That's how hefty it was. It came with a side or chips, and I picked potato salad as my side. It was of the mustard variety, and a good choice. I really enjoyed it, along with my fresh and delicious sandwich. I also got a lemon bar for later on, which I had to share with my co-worker. We both loved it. It had the perfect amount of lemon flavor. I hate lemon bars that aren't lemony enough. This one was just right. Winnie was so very nice. The shop was spotlessly clean. She offers catering as well, and and also has a room for parties that was quite nice. This is a great place to stop in for lunch and/or a dessert. Prices are competitive. She runs her small business with a lot of love and pride in ownership. I look forward to returning.

The people who work here are so nice and pleasant. The sandwiches and hot plate specials are top notch. I highly recommend this place.

Great sandwiches and desserts. Diamond in the rough. Drove past them plenty before I noticed them !

chicken salad was ok probably Gordon's food service, the croissant was old . and the blueberry dessert was edible but uninspired.

I ordered half a dozen chocolate covered strawberries for Mother's Day and fell in love with this adorable place and owner! She is the sweetest person ever and I can't wait to try the meatloaf! I will be back to Winnie's!

We ordered a large amount of Derby themed cookies for a marketing project at work. They were super cute & tasted amazing! We will definitely be a repeat customer. I can't wait to see the fruit trays!
