I haven’t been to one of these in 10 years because my last experience was so horrible. This place changed my mind. What an amazing burger and fries. I was kind of disappointed in couldn’t get shredded cheese on my chili fries though.

I hate to say that we just ate at Steak ‘n Shake for the last time. Ever since 2020, y’all know, the food here has gotten worse and worse. Today was the last straw. First of all, I ended up wearing my first drink of my soda since they overfilled the cup. Then, the fries were nasty. 🤢 I’m not sure exactly how they did it, because they weren’t burnt, but they were so overcooked that they were basically a potato crisp shell. There was almost nothing left inside the fries. It was gross. The sandwich was better after I took the tomato off but it still wasn’t good. My husband agreed today that it’s time to stop eating there. Food is too expensive nowadays to throw so much of it away. And no, we are not going to bring it back and get more food every single time we eat there. That’s what they all expect. Bring the food back or we don’t make it right. Well in case they were unaware, gas is expensive nowadays too. So no. We will not make extra trips due to the inability of a food place to make edible food. We just won’t come back.

Me and my family came here to grab some food. At first they gave some other people our food we had to go get it from them. Then The guy with the blue button up and tattoo was rude to my husband when he ask for his bacon to be crispy. Then the food came. Bacon was raw. So after that got fix. My son cheeseburger was only supposed to have cheese and bacon. It literally said on the receipt plan no chip onions. No bbq sauce. Only Bacon and cheese my son took off the bun. There was bbq no cheese. No bacon. So my husband took the food back up there to him and said it's wrong again and then he got mad and started shaken his head no like we was a problem. Very rude and then he brung the food back to our table and toss it down. I had to take my 4 month old to the bathroom to chat his diaper and my daughter has to use the restroom. There was no soap no toilet paper in the stalls. The 2 sinks had hair all in it like someone brush their hair over the sink. I literally took my child to the car and told my daughter to wait I didn't want her using that rester. The floor is dirty looks like it ain't been swept.and ontop of it all we paid $75 here with milkshakes and all to be treated like this and for the restroom to be a little cleaner. Felt like I would catch lice or something just from the restroom. We will not be coming back here we r the customers here we are paying the high price for food. At least make it right. It's not like the place was loaded with people there literally was a old man and woman and me and my husband and kids. It's crazy.

Placed our order when they brought our order to us. We have the shake we ordered. My husband had to wait. They brought it out 10 min later. We were told they had to make more than our shake. Would have been nice to let us know it was ready, we would have walked up to the counter to get it.

Everything was salty; my fries, burger, and my dad's burger all were extra salty. While mine was edible but difficult to eat my dad said his was so salty it was inedible, but the staff were nice enough to make him a new one and the manager checked in on us later as well. The chocolate chip peppermint shake was good, but for some reason this location doesn't give you the option to have no whipped cream on your shake.

Ordered a double cheeseburger meal at the drive through, literally the only customer there. When i got home, it had 1 burger patty. I called and if I drove back across town I could get my other patty. I asked for manager, not available. I understand now why I was the only customer.

I can't rate the food as we didn't stay to eat it. The restaurant was almost full and only two people had their food. We waited 15 minutes and no one got food so we left. A $16 mistake. I will never eat at a Steak 'n Shake again!
Our drive up order took FOREVER. We just ordered 2 shakes.

I have been a Steak n Shake fan for years, but it is definitely not what it used to be. We ate at the restaurant in Newcastle Indiana. There were only two employees work and a total of about 6 customers who came and went. The food was okay, but service took a long time and it was NOT served with a smile! Ugh!

Wish you could go back to the days of waitresses that seated you and took your order and the place was full of families laughing and enjoying their shakes. Now it is so cold. No one to help you except a kiosk. Only a couple other ppl in the places except us. As we ate the food, which was good, an employee came in to work. After making her way to work at the grill, she started yelling at the manager and walked out and left. No wonder it looks like a ghost restaurant now.
